What happened to paying off that £200m credit?
Expected to be brought down to 40m by end of June. Maybe that's where the 150-160m amount available news is being pushed. Maybe we can start buying players once the credit facility is paid down and can be drawn on again.

A guy on man utd rumour site says similar. Raine recommends Ineos has the better offer but includes Glazers staying and converting their shares into common stock which they are reluctant to do. So sheik has the edge that suits all.

3Q 2023 results are out. Just had a quick scan through. Not much of significance - revolving credit facility balance remains £200m, cash in hand is £73.7m and we have £235m of outstanding transfer fees payable. No dividends have been paid in the past nine months.
Can we take a positive out of no dividends

Joel takes a break from shaving Arvam's back to check his emails, finds that the response he sent to SJ and SJR titled "Maybe just a little bit more money?" is still in his drafts folder.

Yep:

For fiscal 2023, the Company raises its previous revenue guidance from £590 million to £610 million to a record £630 million to £640 million and raises its previous adjusted EBITDA guidance of £125 million to £140 million to £140 million to £150 million.
Is this way the cnuts are holding it up or on? Do they thing the club's toplines/net profits are on the up?

Are those 235m to be paid out in this quarter or is it the outstanding to be paid over multiple years?
Multiple years that’s amortised costs on players like Casemeiro, Varane, Sanchez, Martinez etc

Hope he leaves several cuts. Not serious ones, just plenty of nicks.

What makes you think it will be within 2 weeks
Just that there's no reason to delay further. Leaks trying to squeeze more money out of Qatar are pointless now. Even if the greed brothers want to sell to INEOS the rest of the family won't allow it because they don't want to get sued.

Just to clarify, the INEOS offer represents a huge transfer of wealth from the non-voting share holders to the voting share holders. They are effectively cut out of the sale process altogether and the money saved used to fund the Glazer payoff. Obviously the non-voting share holders will sue in that situation. If they win, the whole Glazer family will be liable for the loss - which will be enormous.

Isn’t Qatar also going offline for Eid now as well?
This seems very much like he’s in the lead but the Glazers want him to finance this summers transfers and he’s saying no because they would not grant him exclusivity, they will be offline for 3 days of Eid expect an announce next Monday not before while the goblins try and get a final bid from SJR or they get SJ to up the bid for another £200m for transfers.

Never in the history of the game have a fan base been so mistreated by an owner, as a fan I’m only happy that they live in Tampa because I could not condone what our fanbase would do if they lived in the UK, if people were horrified at the demonstrations outside woodwards home, magnify that by a 100 and it’s clear that 4 members of the family can read the room.

Let’s keep our heads, it looks like the games of bluff, counter bluff and bluff again are finally coming to an end and we should ban any Twitter post saying it’s defintely being done Tomorrow!

I’m confused as to how Athletic etc could calculate our ffp without these numbers. It’s almost as if they’re bullshitting

Well yes and then there is the part where it's convenient for Utd to brief the media that FFP is an issue. People are sick of us over-spending so it makes sense to claim poverty to try and force down prices.

Not a bad thing at all. We need to at least pretend we have restrictions on spending.

They are the new FSP is a Financial sustainability period and can not be accurately worked out until the final accounts are in. The Athletic are being briefed by the Glazers with the £100-120m because up until now there’s been no cash in the accounts.

Ok quick summary of Quarter 3, revenue up, club debt remains $650m and wages are down about 16% looking at the numbers.

They are now predicting a final revenue of £630-640m which is astonishing considering we did not have CL football, this is probably why they(Goblins) are asking for more money even now.

The Glazers with a new decent manager and a club which at best is run 50% correctly can turn over £630-640m without CL football, imagine what a well oiled machine would make (excuse the pun)

FSP projection (Allowance of 90% )
Club Revenue Predicted 22/23 - £630m
Ebitda Debt Predicted 22/23 - £150m
Previous Amortised costs - Approx £40m
(These will come under Financials)
Wages Predicted 22/23 - £325m down about 16%

This would mean that the club would only be allowed to spend £567m on Net Transfers including amortised costs previously agreed, Agent and Signing on fees, Wages etc.

This a rough guess based on the current numbers and not the final accounts which will not posted until end of month. The rough outline is £325m(wages), £150m(debt), £40m(Ongoing Transfer costs) equals £515m - £567m equals £42m net transfer position but we could sign all new players on 5 years and increase that budget to £200m. We could also sell players like D Henderson, B Williams and A Ellanga for £40m and increase our budget by another £200m, this doesn’t mean we would have £400m to spend because all new players need their wages also added to the amortised cost plus you have to pay agent fees upfront

Safely I’d say we have £200-250m to spend if we sell 2 or 3 homegrown players, now if the New owners paid off the $650m historical debt as SJ as stated that he would do, provided it’s before the new season starts, then the club effectively reduces £50m of its financial Liability by no longer having to pay that amount of money to service the debt as the debt has been removed from the Club.

Incidentally the credit line is being paid off to the value of £260m but leaving £40m still owed, so there may be something in that too. No announcement could be that SJ or SJR will not agree to reimburse the Glazers on this summer transfer window, leaving the club in limbo?

Ran into LVG the other day, he said: it's a process. He also said that he's said many times before that it's a process.

(Dunno if he was actually talking about United, or the possible sale of United, but still: he's probably right.)

Why can't England force Glazers to sell like they did with Chelsea? The US has plenty of war crimes amongst other things under it's belt in recent times to reason it

Can't you Brits make a plea w your king?
