How do they know these information? I am sceptic to this.
Makes it sound like everything is agreed and they're just sorting out the legal paperwork now, which should take up to 10 business days.
That aligns with what some of us speculated based on the wording of the Reuters report.
The "ten business days" bit I'm just repeating from what was quoted in the Twitter space.Speaking as a man with experience of multi billion dollar acquisitions?
One interesting thing -- a Red Knight guy who claims to have insider info said that the Raine Group leaked to Reuters due to pressure from Sheikh Jassim, who was sick of all the pro-Ratcliffe garbage he was reading from the British media. What’s being said? I don’t have twitter
Most probably BS. They claim that the bidders have insiders in each other camps. And SJ told the Glazers that he will top SJR bid by x% but he wants to know the numbers and when he knew the last SJR number he toped it with a x%.What’s being said? I don’t have twitter

The timing they mentioned does align with the deals I've worked on though. There's some back and forth between the parties before the papers are signed, which can take anywhere from 1-2 days up to a few weeks.
Interesting, but what difference would it make to SJ that there is pro Ratcliffe stuff in the media, makes no real difference to the outcome being the Glazers choice? Not sure if I misunderstood. Perhaps SJ is sensitive to public perception. One interesting thing -- a Red Knight guy who claims to have insider info said that the Raine Group leaked to Reuters due to pressure from Sheikh Jassim, who was sick of all the pro-Ratcliffe garbage he was reading from the British media.
Gotta give it to Twitter creativityMost probably BS. They claim that the bidders have insiders in each other camps. And SJ told the Glazers that he will top SJR bid by x% but he wants to know the numbers and when he knew the last SJR number he toped it with a x%.
What else is there to do right now?8
Why even bother?
SJ and SJR are awful ways to abbreviate the two bidders. They're so similar, it always takes me a few seconds to remember which one is which.
Can't you guys call them JBHAT and SJR or something? Or even HAT and RAT?
Don't tell me your life is this sadWhat else is there to do right now?
I do think the Glazers will be aware of the transfer window though.
I think they want to feck off before the pressure turns up on them to start making signings.
I think there’ll be significant progress by this time next week. Well, significant relative to the speed that the Glazers take with every single decision.
What brings you to that conclusion?Don't tell me your life is this sad
Play Tears of the Kingdom. Touch grass. Kiss a man/lady you fancy. Drink beer. What else is there to do right now?
How do you know I haven't been doing other things all day?Play Tears of the Kingdom. Touch grass. Kiss a man/lady you fancy. Drink beer.
That if you have no news you literally go scraping for any sort of hearsay bullshit. That's not being emotionally invested, it's just not having a life outside of the takeover. What brings you to that conclusion?
Because I listened to a twitter space?
Sorry for being emotionally invested in what happens to the club
Whatever man I don't need to explain what I do in my day to day life to some random person on a forum. That if you have no news you literally go scraping for any sort of hearsay bullshit. That's not being emotionally invested, it's just not having a life outside of the takeover.

Funnily enough, that is on average a higher rate than meYou have over 26k posts on a forum, simmer down kid.
Seems like most of the due diligence has been completed and, I’d hope, draft contracts have been in circulation for a while. Doesn’t mean there will not be more legal wrangling on the exact terms once a chosen bidder is selected, but hopefully not too much. Once a chosen buyer is picked the pace tends to quicken and it becomes a 24/7 hell to get it finished. Last deal I was involved in I signed (as one of the company signatories) at 4 a.m in our London City legal advisers offices. 72+ hours without sleep! The “ten business days” had a bang of someone trying to sound like an authority about something they know very little about. So no surprise it popped up on Twitter! Your own experience sounds much more plausible. Due diligence and legal wrangling could take several weeks. Possibly much longer.
Well yeah but your not annoying like this donut that's probably got his feelings hurt Sir Rat Arse isn't going to takeover United.Funnily enough, that is on average a higher rate than me

I know what your saying but I can’t get past the Reuters quote, they just don’t do that, unless there 100% It’s not their style, I think the British press have been briefed all summer that SJR was in the driving seat until that 5th bid from SJ which the more we here about it the more it’s clear that’s it’s a better bid overall. That's gas, he sounds like a fourteen year old trying to sound like David Mitchell. Fair play to him.
Some people have been in favour of SJ* and other people have been in favour of SJ*Can anyone summarise what had happened in the last five posts, I haven’t checked the thread for the last 10 minutes and can’t be arsed to catch up.
Agreed. Same with "Baader-Meinhof phenomenon" - heard about that one the other day, and now I keep seeing it everywhere. Why does everyone say “touch grass” nowadays. I swear I never heard this phrase until this year and now it’s fecking everywhere. That and “recency bias.” Does my nut in.
I refuse to google thatAgreed. Same with "Baader-Meinhof phenomenon" - heard about that one the other day, and now I keep seeing it everywhere.
It's you look at a dress on the internet, and 50% of people think it's Baader and 50% think it's Meinhof.I refuse to google that
It doesn't even really make any sense either. You can pretty much access the internet anywhere now very easily. It's not like you have to be stuck inside all day.Why does everyone say “touch grass” nowadays. I swear I never heard this phrase until this year and now it’s fecking everywhere. I suspect about 75% of the CAF will have to Google Baader and Meinhof! It's you look at a dress on the internet, and 50% of people think it's Baader and 50% think it's Meinhof.
Very conservative estimateI suspect about 75% of the CAF will have to Google Baader and Meinhof!
