Club Sale | It’s done!

We are now playing catch up, because of the cheating of our friendly neighborhood rivals. So I would not be surprised at all if that was to be the case and unfortunately for everyone here up in arms, out potential new owners, or at least their most likely backers of we must pretends it's not what it is, have shown a great willingness to cheat their way to get what they want in football.

Or perhaps the club having its debt cleared and no longer making interest payments and dividend payments or worrying about cash flow issues, will freely spend its own money turning us into a title challenger.

What people ignore is that largely the Glazers have only spent big when the team is in such a dire state that it finishes outside the top 4, when pep came in city had finished 4th, they spent 200m and finished 3rd, then spent 300m and won the title, then they've been OK just adding to the team rather than needing complete rebuilds every year.

You're just making groundless assumptions, that because you personally don't want Qatar, they're going to definitely start cheating and breaking ffp rules

Never said anyone has to do anything of the sort. However plenty have asked those of us against Qatar to justify why and accused us of being pro Glazer because we haven't thrown out arms up over the potential staged buy out rather than a full sale only.

In fairness I have poked fun at that by suggesting full sale only equates to support for the Glazers staying but compared to several posters being accused of being racist throughout this thread for daring not to support Qatar, it's pretty insignificant.

And I most certainly want the Glazers out, at almost any cost. So much so I'm willing to play the long game if that's what it takes.
I just want them gone tomorrow. There’s a chance if they don’t leave now they will never leave. Shares will be passed down to Glazer kids and grandkids as if it’s their birthright and we’ll never get rid of them.
I’m waiting for Jim to win because he changed the compulsory Glazer buy out to optional that confirms the fact we are fecked.
For all of the talk about baiting Qatar I’m starting to believe that’s the hold up they want resolved before selecting Jim

I haven't been following the takeover closely but I recall reading an article linking Jassim's bid to the class of 92? Happy to stand corrected.
A while back, some cretin at ESPN reported 92F planned to give prominent roles to United legends if their takeover was successful to get some clicks, but there has not been anything to suggest any Class of '92 players are part of the 92F consortium as investors.

It's not nonsense or bullshit. Match-going fans matter more to the club than those who don't. Why do you keep trying to deny this?
Crap.

All fans matter equally, wherever they are.

Perhaps you should take Jag and pop over to Wum's, I'm sure he will welcome others of his superiority mindset.

Come on, they're anything but unfounded.

I would however be very happy to be wrong, along with being wrong on many of my concerns over Qatari or any State ownership. I'm not confident though.

I too would’ve liked that, for all the fans saying City’s success means less

The difference is we actually have the history and fanbase. For me all these sale does is bring us in line with where we should be, if the glazers actually invested in us as they were supposed to. We also generate our own money.

Why would they wait so long to register the company? Surely they would've done it upfront months ago - I think it's a muppet who has done it.

92 Foundation registered in the UK today so surely an announcement is imminent now

Tbf, this does actually seem like big news, the fact that it's only been done today and not throughout the rest of the bidding process combined with what rio said really does make me think this it. I haven't paid much attention to what the journos say, but this feels like something solid

Looks like it might be a done deal then, the sooner we can start preparing for the new season the better.

Wouldn’t be surprised at all if this is the basis for Rio’s assumption that a bid is imminent. I don’t think that follows though. Only costs a few quid to register a company. Seems sensible to do it whether or not their bid has been accepted. Just helps them move a bit quicker if the Glazers do accept.

I dunno the qatari who is in charge of the bid is one of the registered directors.

I mean it likely will be a state bid. And I'm sure they don't have a moral issue with circumventing FFP or anything, I just don't think they'll need to with us, with the debts cleared, no dividend payments, investment in infrastructure etc. We'll have enough of our own money to spend each year

I’m just glad it’s over and done with now after a long winded tedious process. Most of all we are finally rid of the Glazers!

Not as investors but there were reports at the very beginning that 3/4 interested parties approached legends to back their bids but the legends decided to wait and see who wins and hop aboard the gravy train then.
It’s in this thread but it’s full of so much shit I’m guessing it’s hard to find
