Well not really. I would think a lot of the United fans prefer Jim to Qatar easily

Nah you need unlimited wealth and to work on the principle of ego over rational business sense to compete. Qatar wins easily.

Yep looks like it’s Ineos unfortunately.
The day RATcliffe offered them to stay I knew it was over. RATcliffe played his cards and he does not care about the fans. He fooled the naives with a stupid slogan "I will bring Manchester back in Manchester united". Just like trump with his slogans.

That's not going to last long when they realise they've only wished a British Glazer into existence, all the while we continue to fall behind other clubs.

I have not been following this closely but what is Qatar offering here? Is it a £5.2B for 100% of the club and then another £1B to invest on the club (total is £6.2B) or is it £4.2B for 100% of the club and then £1B investment pledge (total of £5.2B)?
£5.2b is their valuation of the club so the Glazers would get 69%of that

This is what I don’t understand - why do they not understand that the Glazers don’t care what SJ is going to do after a takeover because they won’t be involved anymore. Just like they’re not bothered about what happens with the shares they don’t own.
It's a social play which is the entirety of the reason of why they want to own us anyway. Make pointless promises even though it means nothing for the negotiations to get some fans in their corner.

If the reports are true about there being call and put options with the Ineos bid then from a financial point of view the Glazers would be correct in accepting the ineos bid. Regardless of what rise in value the club has over the next 3 years, the glazers will be able to force the sale of their shares at a pre-agreed price and likewise SJR can enforce a buy.
That is if the value goes up. We might tank as a club. Now that would be interesting.

Yeah he's no better than those leeches,WOW Ratcliffe you were actually willing to piss off the fanbase by keeping them on just to get the club

We are fecked.

Qatar will just come back to another PL
Club in the future and buy them. We will have Jim and Ineos and we will be a laughing stock

He’s nothing like the Glazers, again people just making shit up in their heads and accepting it as fact

In my opinion, this has been done for a while. I’ll say it again, Jassim was never a serious bidder.
Pound for pound Jassim’s bid is far lower thanBrexit Jim’s.
I don’t think people still understand the concept. The Glazers only care about what enters their bank account. They don’t give a shit about enterprise value. As far as they’re concerned, the debt is another person’s problem.
Brexit Jim has offered the Glazers a share price valuati Of £5bn+ excluding the debt. Jassim has offered the Glazers a Full sale offer with an EV of £5bn+. In that scenario, the Glazers will be getting far less money.
The Times reported a month ago that those close to the bid thought that Jassim is not a serious guy. I have seen nothing to disprove them.
The other thing that is clear Jassim doesn’t have any serious backing and why I am surprised at those that have gone full Qatari without thinking objectively. It’s a massive concern that Jassim is even being outbidded by Brexit Jim. I guarantee you, if Jassim had the backing everyone here thinks he does, this would not be a contest.
I repeat, Jassim is not a serious bidder and by this time on Friday he will be out of the race.
I’m not keen on Ratcliffe. In fact, I don’t want him but if he’s the only serious bidder, what choice do we have?
For all saying it's a state bid, I am not sure. If it was they would just blow SJR out of the water. I think it is SJ with backing off his dad, who will only go so far.

Yeah we will definitely continue to fall behind

Fascinating to know you’ve been involved in the whole negotiation process.
I mean we've all been following it. And we've all heard that the bonus 3rd round of bidding was supposed to be "best offer". And Qatar alone made 2 offers past that while Ineos has since been negotiating in the background on finer details. So it's very clear who was smart about buying the club and who fecked it up.

I keep saying it but I really don’t understand the braindead, childish and emotional posts in this thread. Think some people need to grow up, read actual facts and get a life holy shit man it’s unreal the crying. You’d think it was nothing but children posting on this forum

Disappointed Qatar obviously don’t feel like they need to own the biggest football club in the world. That would be such a win for them I don’t understand the lack of desire to get the deal done.
They got badly burned by Credit Suisse. Their SWF has taken an enormous hit. The World Cup is over, they already own a big club.
There’s not much marginal benefit to be gained paying well over the odds for Man Utd.

That's why I think he is just on a giant ego trip. All about him and not a care for the club. We will find out his plans soon or lack of them. Hope he proves us wrong.

Well he seems awfully keen to get into bed with them for starters.

And explain to me how you could expect our fortunes to change with him as owner? Because I've not read anything promising from his camp regarding debt clearing or investing infrastructure. Just some brexit-esque slogans like 'putting Manchester back into United'. Nice's fans don't seem particularly keen with him either.

When you look at Saudi handing out cash left right and centre to get what they want it’s disappointing to see Qatar not really committed to buying us.

(Don't know if he's a bullshitter or not)

The pledges do not count. No one gives a feck and certainly not the Glazers. Don’t know why it keeps getting mentioned. I’d even go on to say valuation does not even matter either.
The only thing that matters is how much the Glazers get for a share. Ratcliffe’s offer is well ahead.

Why are we removing the debt for SJ's offer? Surely he pays off the Glazers that amount and pays off the debt in a separate proposal completely, why would the debt removal be included in any proposal offer? Surely that's something he plans to do once he owns the club...

He specified he would pay it off, Ratcliffe hasn’t so it’s unclear

People think Sir Jim is being used to up the Qatari bid, I honestly feel that it is the other way around. The Glazers always wanted to stay, and wanted investment to cash out in the future with even higher returns. Jim knows this and went ahead and gave them everything they wanted.

Just proves it's not really a state backed bid.

In theory then, we should know by the weekend who will own us.

If we hear that Jassim’s final offer bid has been accepted then it’ll be him.

If we hear nothing or it’s been rejected then it’ll be Jim and the Glazers

If this is true, I don't see what everyone is shouting at Qatar for.

They're offering full buy-out at a slight discount. It's literally 5% but you get to walk away with all the money and invest in something that might deliver 10% in one year.

The Glazers are just clueless pricks.
