And who’s gonna meet the price?Honestly I'd rather have the devil I know than this charlatan who keeps tanking clubs. At least I am confident that they will eventually sell.

I already knew there was no point reasoning with you. This puts another marker to that. Good on you.Honestly I'd rather have the devil I know than this charlatan who keeps tanking clubs. At least I am confident that they will eventually sell.
haha ok, so you say SJR is buying the club for profit. Then how about INEOS investing money in the club to increase the value of their share? So Ratcliffe's deal is that Ineos invests a load of money on infrastructure and players, whilst the Glazers invest nothing (we can be pretty sure of that) and then the Glazers get paid more for their shares because of Ratcliffe's spending?
Nah, Ratcliffe will spend the least he has to, he's twisting and turning up to the maximum he's worked out will most likely provide a profit. The Glazers will sell to the highest bidder, Qatar are just making sure of the benchmark, they'll take it.
And who’s gonna meet the price?
How is it not?Nope

Implying that you think Jim, Jassim or both cannot? You really think the process would have come this far if that was the case? Not if we are jumping out of the pan and into the fire. I’d rather wait and get a new owner that can afford the club.
Did the Athletic say Jassim was approached, or Qatar was approached? In Jim O'Neill's interview on the UWS podcast, he said he and his people approached Qatar. He said they ended up buying PSG instead to be full owners, so that wouldn't be Jassim. Did the Athletic article expand further? I don't subscribe, but assumed it was based on Mitten's conversations with O'Neill.
Didn't you know, SJR is just a pauper roleplaying as Britain's richest man and INEOS is just a small startup?Implying that you think Jim, Jassim or both cannot? You really think the process would have come this far if that was the case?
So according to you…had INEOS not been involved in the bidding process, it’s a cert that the Glazers would’ve just sold the club to Jassim? And not only that, but they would’ve sold it for less than his current bid? They will have to sell eventually. They probably would have gone that route if this idiot hadn't offered them a lifeline
Maybe but there is a better alternative.I reckon every United fan would have taken Jim with 6 leeches hanging on his coattails for another few years if we were offered this last year.
Especially if he took full control and can burn them off down the line.
Whilst the Glazers invest nothing. Make sense?haha ok, so you say SJR is buying the club for profit. Then how about INEOS investing money in the club to increase the value of their share?
It makes perfect sense. I'm not entirely sure why you're having trouble figuring that out?So according to you…had INEOS not been involved in the bidding process, it’s a cert that the Glazers would’ve just sold the club to Jassim? Yeah…that makes sense.

Seriously what have you seen at Nice or Lausanne that remotely suggest that Ineos know how to manage clubs better then the Glazers? Maybe it's the audit done by some cyclist guy which lead to favre being saddled by washed up EPL players he knew little to absolutely nothing about?
Qatar are far from perfect nut at least they throw money to the problem. Ineos mismanage clubs while they concurrently maintain an obsession with sustainability
Its just that you and many here don't seem to understand the difference between running a club for sustainability (esp during covid) and running a club that needs to win(and don't even repeat the misquoted quotes you keep bringing up in this thread of when INEOS bought the club). Do you actually think, INEOS will run the clubs in the exact same way as the other two clubs? Is that how low you think of United? I'd rather have those running the club, who at least have had experiences running clubs, hopefully learning from those mistakes, than someone who has no experience running a club. And not being turned into a plastic club is also a big plus. There is no point arguing with people who think that Ratcliffe is a better owner despite tanking clubs in the swiss league and the French league. How could a multi billionaire company mess so badly in such farmer leagues?
Just to be clear, it works the other way around, right? If Jassim hadn't come along Sir Jim would've wrapped this up?They will have to sell eventually. They probably would have gone that route if this idiot hadn't offered them a lifeline
Not according to Raine there isn’t!Maybe but there is a better alternative.
Did they release a statement or something? Not according to Raine there isn’t!
This is just bizarre. The Qatari bid would’ve been even further off the asking price; resulting in the chances of the Glazer’s opting for minority investment going up.It makes perfect sense. I'm not entirely sure why you're having trouble figuring that out?

Obviously, if you only have only one bidder and no competition to drive up the price, then they would likely get less. Basic logic. This is just bizarre. His bid would’ve been even further off the asking price, resulting in the chances of the Glazer’s opting for minority investment going up.
If we care purely about football, what is Jassims record in the world of football?Honestly I'd rather have the devil I know than this charlatan who keeps tanking clubs. At least I am confident that they will eventually sell.

So you just completely ignored everything in the article and made things up to post? Okay.Anyone keeping one rat, let alone six, in place is a no-go. Hypocrites that talk about 'taking' this shite deal a year ago clearly fail to grasp the fact we're in this position (to be sold) because of the Glazers and them retaining influence is a recipe for disaster.
Wait and hope doesn’t sound like a viable future for our club.Qatar I believe can afford the club. Jim as well to a certain extent. But the financial outlook under Jim looks bleak. No commitment to remove the existing debt. No commitment to sort out OT and Carrington.
They have had ample opportunities to allay the fears of the supporters over these last few months regarding the debt and investment and yet we’ve had radio silence from Sir Jim which is a huge red flag.
Now I understand it. You do not want Qatar. But what SJR is offering with the lack of clarity regarding the debt and that he’s willing to let the fecking Glazers remain in some capacity is just outrageous.
If it’s not Qatar then I’d rather wait 12-24 months and hope that another bidder comes in that will clear the debt and send those fecking parasites packing.
If we care purely about football, what is Jassims record in the world of football?
Also Throwing money at a problem? Glazers have thrown plenty of money. The Chelsea idiot also loves throwing money.
YesI'd rather get the inexperienced owner with deep pockets who is committed to do things properly then the proven failure with a history of fudging things up.
Only if they feel compelled to sell. Basic logic also dictates that a sole bid that falls way short of the asking price will result in a greater reluctance to sell outright, and a greater acceptance of minority investment.Obviously, if you only have only one bidder and no competition to drive up the price, then they would likely get less. History will not forget the irony of United fans absolutely ripping the fans of City and their club for being an oil money driven plastic club full of fake glory for years only for them to turn around, drop their pants and twerk for it at the first whiff of said money for themselves, Glazers being parasites or not.
