And do you think Abu Dhabi investors owning 9% of the company is resulting in Raine sabotaging their clients interests?Abu Dhabi seem to own at least 9% of the Raine group. Here is a link.

Yeah it's a really really long stretch to assume that I think. And do you think owning 9% of the company is resulting in Raine sabotaging their clients interests?
I think it’s more about the potential of the Glazers staying on in any capacity than Jim though.I thought that the home crowd loved Sir Jim

I told you guys ages ago INEOS is winning this bid they’ve been working on the deal
For 18 months , the club has been for sale longer than the public statement.
Not sure what the Sheik Jassim thing is all about.
They're the Arsenal of leading. Can't get it over the line.I told you guys ages ago INEOS is winning this bid they’ve been working on the deal

If the Glazers lose control and we strengthen to acceptable levels ad all that on top of a largely successful season from ETH and the team then the anger won't be as fierce as it would be right now. Remember last summer the club fecked about in the window and only got to spend after the two defeats. Not sure that’s true, we spent a fortune last summer and nothing was soothed over.
Our fanbase was literally protesting them during a cup final just a few months ago
It is true thoughDo you think that's true?
Abu Dhabi own 9% of raine group.I read that Raine are part owned by the UAE group who owns Man City
Which probably explains why the Qatari bid is being messed about
Nonsense. The media haven't signed any NDAs. If they knew anything they'd report it, simple as
This latest article is clearly telling you two things.
1. They want to sell up completely
2. They want Qatar to match the INEOS valuation.
It's not insurmountable. I don't get why they don't just use $500 million of the pledged money and focus on actually acquiring the club first. How far apart they are in their valuation? Thought the difference was $330M ?
Would make sense If that was the case. Ratcliffe jumping into bed with Joel and Avram isn't going to go down well
I reckon they’re waiting for the season to end so no game to protest around then they’ll spend heavy in the Summer & hope that the majority of the backlash blows over by the time next season kicks off.
Absolutely no knowledge but feels like whatever the decision is they’re waiting till our games are over & there’s less of an event for fans to protest around for a few months.
Thats how I would do it if I did a deal with the devil which will make half the fanbase furious from day 1. Once the initial anger calms we are stuck with him and his Glazer pals
It does make sense to me the quietness, as the next possible announcement has to be via the stock market. This indicates it’s coming to its last stages.
100% this.Yeah right.
We see through it now don’t we. INEOS apparently have been leading for about 3 months and there’s still no deal.
They have zero interest in selling to Jim and want to squeeze every last pence out of Qatar they keep pulling the same shit
Someone actually said that Qatar are buying us for sportswashing, and Ineos is buying us for green washingThere will absolutely not be significant backlash if INEOS buys us. This is a fantasy of overly online supporters. Local fans are not obsessively following the ins and outs of this and developing strong opinions on finer details, they just want the Glazers to no longer control their club and if they hear that INEOS are going to purchase a controlling stake in Man Utd they will be happy, as they would be happy if it was reported Qatar are going to take over the club.
It's the 'Which probably explains why the Qatari bid is being messed about' bit that I find it hard to believe you subscribe to.It is true though
Mubadala Development have an ownership stake in Raine Group
Their managing director is Al Mubarak, the chairman of Man City
The Ineos bid is, as expected, still in the lead. Qatar will need to up their offer or I expect we'll hear shortly after the cup final that Ineos have been granted exclusivity.
Thanks for popping by to let us know. When the club actually gets sold can we make a new thread.
There is nothing worth reading in here until it does.
They've been 'winning' for the last 4 months mate. They aren't even in the running their bid would have been accepted a long time ago.
This is about getting as much money as possible out of Qatar they've repeated this pattern about 4 times at this point
'Ineos are winning....Qatar up their offer'
It's so obvious after months of the same shit. I'm more certain this is nailed on for Qatar than I have been at any point.
7-10 days.So when do you see that 5th bid from Jassim because that's what it will take I reckon

They won't need toAre they willing to hit £6bn though
So when do you see that 5th bid from Jassim because that's what it will take I reckon
They won't need to
5.5 will be enough IMOSurely thet will due to Ratcliffe's offer of £6bn over the next 2-4 years still beating theirs of around £5.3bn up front
How much do you think their latest offer was?5.5 will be enough IMO
INEOS was 5 - 5.5
Qatar? It was 4.8How much do you think their latest offer was?
Yeah I thought their latest offer was 'significantly increased' to over 5 when they went directly to JassimQatar? It was 4.8
It was around 5.5 total including a pledged investmentYeah I thought their latest offer was 'significantly increased' to over 5 when they went directly to Jassim
Kleinman is good for business though. They don't have a clue, Sky is a terrible source for breaking news.
