The People's President
Surely Ratcliffe is the best choice? That's if we had one. And do people really want a bottomless pit of cash? You'd all get bored quick fast. He's our only decent option.
We don't have enough info really to say who is best choice who is not. Qataris bid has obvious moral issues while Jim's bid has plenty of grey areas that we have no idea which way it will go.Surely Ratcliffe is the best choice? That's if we had one. Correct, plus glazers will choose the best bid for them, rather than the best bid for the club. The opposite of the Abramovich situation. We don't have enough info really to say who is best choice who is not. Just want the debt cleared, and the stadium refurbed/rebuilt to get us back on track, then I'm happy to only spend what we make.Surely Ratcliffe is the best choice? That's if we had one. And do people really want a bottomless pit of cash? You'd all get bored quick fast. He's our only decent option.
He's really short.What the feck.
Why is Sunak so tiny??? Looks like a child in that chair
That went wellCorrect, plus glazers will choose the best bid for them, rather than the best bid for the club. The opposite of the Abramovich situation.

I just want the following:
Glazers gone
Clear our debt
£1bn invested in the club which the Glazers/ interest have taken out into Stadium and Infrastructure
A proper football structure in place
We spend what we earn, so are within FFP laws
I don't think Radcliffe can achieve that. Qatar can.
If the supposed FFP restraints that we have to adhere with regards to amount available to spend to this summer due to our debt , and we don't have the new funding in place to clear that debt by the summer, then it's a pretty big issue. Its quite possible, and then of course our stupid reactionary fans will jump on the new owners and proclaim them as rubbish when our next season starts badly. Modern football sucks.
I had a weird blast of nostalgia reading that, might watch the 1992 Royal Rumble again
He is a United fan after all. I just don’t see the gov having any influence, the Glazers are American owners, even if it means indirect investment in the Manchester area.
Al Thani can just give a text to up the bid, he doesn’t need to be there.
Nobody is suggesting otherwise. Just funny that people think the Gov would block this deal. They would welcome it more than anyone. This surely has nothing to do with United.
Why would we have bottomless pits of cash and why would we get bored? You know what's really boring? Watching City win the league for the next 10 years and beyond.Surely Ratcliffe is the best choice? That's if we had one. And do people really want a bottomless pit of cash? You'd all get bored quick fast. He's our only decent option.
The heart and soul of United's support that travel to Brighton on a Thursday night being told on Twitter that they're not proper fans because they held up a No To Qatar banner. Some of our Twitter fans are the absolute worst.

The issue of ownership is already dividing and polarising the fan base. We saw the same thing with the whole stupid Ole in, Ole out thing in the last few years. There is a strange desire amongst United fans to be proven right, and to be seen as a superior to fellow fans. It’s weird and I don’t understand it but if we start next season under new owners badly there will absolutely be people who jump to blame the owners and their staffing team. If it goes REALLY badly then I can foresee protests again sadly.I don't think anyone who has the ability and eagerness to understand the financial situation will jump on the new owners
It's not the best choice for Manchester United, that's for sure. What’s your definition of “best choice”?
Is funding a new stadium, invest in our infrastructure without adding more debt or use some sort of sponsor funded deal something we should include when assessing who’s the “best” potential owner?

Yes. And we should also include in that assessment whether the club will just be used as a foreign policy tool, and/or that the club will be linked to everything that government does, good and bad. What’s your definition of “best choice”?

All just a massive coincidence then?
Qatar are the biggest foreign investors into the British economy. From all the foreign investment that currently enters the UK, Qatar make up something like 34% of it, but of course, the line is buying United.
The UK economy can't grow without foreign investment so I'm not surprised he's flashing his arse in their direction if they've got more money to invest.
To be fair, Europeans freezing to death in their own homes is probably a more pressing human rights issue for the leaders of those countries that the plight of the immigrants of Qatar. And all of Europe wants their liquid gas now because they don’t want gas from Russia anymore. German firms have signed a 15-year deal during the WC in Qatar to buy 2m tonnes of liquid gas from Qatar. Everybody wants that of course, who cares about the human rights issues. Shameful!
I am sure, this bidding process was happening since Nov.
Why would he arrive AFTER the bidding process deadline has finished to create influence.
Of course not. He was obviously in the country to seal the deal with the Glazers, and just happened to stop by to see his buddy Rishi and give him a few suitcases of cash. All just a massive coincidence then?
He’s out of luck, all 6 of them are in Doha allegedly! What a kerfuffle!Of course not. He was obviously in the country to seal the deal with the Glazers, and just happened to stop by to see his buddy Rishi and give him a few suitcases of cash.

He looks like he buys his suits from the Matalan 'Back to school' range. He's really short.
5"5 I think
That’s without player sales and is more to do with the clubs financials, posting a huge £115m loss which has increased the debt back to £635m and the interest will also go up to probably £40m per year to service now hopefully this years accounts won’t be so bad but if we lost £60m and still have a debt to service plus Amortised Transfer fees and wages of £300m it’s going to be very tough to do anything, which is why we need a full sale asapWith FFP, it's not like we can spend without restraint. Apparently we're only allowed to spend £100m net this summer anyway.
He's taller than Tom Cruise then. He's really short.
