Club Sale | It’s done!

Edward, Bryan and Darcie are heavily involved with the Buccs, so these 3 might be. They’ve also had the draft to deal with.
You’d like the think Avram and Joel in particular would be focused on United at an important time like this.
Most of the actual legwork is done by intermediaries though - lawyers, bankers, consultants, etc. Even in the busiest periods of the deal, I can't imagine it's something that takes a lot of time out of the Glazers' schedules.

When buying or selling a house, even after a price have been agreed by both parties everyone still has to wait about 12 weeks for a solicitor to be bothered to print out a standard template letter before anyone can move in anywhere

Weren’t all the legalities meant to be done during the due diligence period which passed a couple of weeks ago?

New owners can't come quick enough as far as Im concerned. I don't care who they are, United have been rotten at the core for years.
We need to start afresh and bring the club back to where it should be.

And this game is why I'm desperate for Sheikh Jassim to buy us

Imagine if we could bring strong subs off the bench... Rather than a failed Burnley loanee

We really need this sorted so that next season doesn't get screwed due to lack of summer activity owing to lack of clarity. JR or SJ, don't care who comes in as long as our debt is cleared, funds made available and better decision makers are put in charge of the footballing side. Spunking 90 mil on Antony was a shambolic business and just goes to show we have a long long way to go before we can get back to where we are.

Was speaking to a lawyer from INEOS today at a family event.

They believe they have it in the bag.
Deals been worked on the last 18 months.
Also fourth round is not out of the question.

That’s literally all he said.

Regardless of who buys us, even if they make funds available immediately and our transfer window isn't disrupted, we're still going to be heavily constrained by FFP this summer. The abysmal business we've done over the years (in and out) is finally coming home to roost.

I'm guessing by being worked on the last 18 months, they've worked out what they'd bid at the 2nd and 3rd round of bidding?
If an Ineos lawyer said that, my guess is that he means that Ratcliffe has been talking to the Glazers about selling for 18 months. It would fit with what he said when he bid for Chelsea, that he was bidding because United wasn't for sale (implying he had inquired, as opposed to just not seeing it listed on Ebay). And then his comments a few months later (I think), that said something about how he would be interested if the Glazers decided to sell.

How can they have it in the bag and still a fourth round not being out of the question?

This has turned into one of those daft transfer threads where people think they're being witty by pretending they genuinely know something. Come on folks, engage your brains. No one on here knows anything about what's going on

What post?

Seriously?
The one you replied to here. The guy says he met an Ineos lawyer who claims it's in the bag, at the same time a fourth round is not out of the question. How can that be true unless he means the fourth round is the exclusivity period?

He also said it was a family gathering, so if he was any kind of supporter worth his salt he’d have been in touch long before now for news - especially a family member. @TrebleChamp99 knows nothing….

Im not lying or pretending. This is legitimately a coincidence he told me he works at INEOS as a commercial lawyer.

He said they pretty much have it done as they have overvalued each share and ultimately can continue to do so to get the club.

He went on to say he’s been working on it with the team for 18 months (bid/deal) and that they think Glazers will just keep on going and a 4th round is possible.

I asked about Jassim and he said he knew nothing about him and no one does.

First time I’ve met him and got speaking about football as our game was on.

@Berbaclass More than 24 hours have passed now, where are the news that Qatar has entered the exclusivity period?

The guy on Twitter said it will be yesterday evening or within 24 hours. :wenger:

Tomorrow would be an ideal time to get a positive update on this.
