Get this fecking circus over and done with. Everything is polemic with United.

Ineos buy Oil and gas and turn it into other chemicals, not exactly the same as pulling it out of the ground.
But let's also ignore the other questionable ways the Qatari's make their wealth off the backs of the poor.

As I've said, I'd still rather have them over spineless Sir Jim and the Glazers being allowed to stay.

Calm down, no idea why you're so hostile and childish.

It seems a lot of people have no idea what INEOS do. They are in chemicals, yes. They also have a company called INEOS oil & gas and most definitely pull it out the ground right here in the UK North Sea. Another company, INEOS Shale, have acquired licenses and intend to produce shale gas in the north of England. They also operate some of the UK’s most extensive transportation pipelines via INEOS FPS.

It’s all right there on their website.

INEOS are absolutely enormous and very profitable.

Absolute utter nonsense. Possibly the least informed post in the thread.

Jesus, the misplaced confidence with which people who have no clue what they're taking about make pronouncements like this.

It's a very simple calculation, class B shares have 10 times the voting rights of class A shares, if the glazers own x% of shares then everyone else owns 100% - x%, so equality of voting is reached when 10x = 100-x, solving for x gives x = 9 1/11, so the glazers need greater than 9 1/11% of class B shares to be able to out vote all the other class A shares.

Understand now?

Nothing funnier than people trying to be clever and failing spectacularly.

I’ve read RedCafe for many years for my football news requirements. It’s open to the public. I also post at two other places and they’re saying the same, that @HarryP is GlastonSpur :)

I've no idea who that poster is, it's the first I've heard of them. The powers that be are welcome to do an IP check/account comparison or whatever. But I'd appreciate it if you didn't accuse me of being someone I'm not, particularly when it sounds like said person was an asshole.

Classic Glaston

did you not understand the maths?

The problem with the maths is you are working on the basis that anyone buying out the Glazers shares would do so without insisting they retain their B status.

The key phrase in Ratcliffes alternative bid, which tells us that the shares would retain B status and/or that the Glazers would be converted to A status, is "controlling stake"

I just want to say, it's been a pleasure working with @Berbaclass these past few months. Gonna miss you pal.

Good luck in your next venture, probably the Camavinga thread.

After going through the long Twitter read in the Jimmy Murphy statue thread…coming back here to read about the prospect of state ownership makes me want to puke.

Yeah, the Daily Mail has an article saying the Qatari's want to buy Mbappe, Camavinga and Kingsley Coman after completing takeover of Man United. I know it's the Mail and therefore not true. But, it's likely they are going to be after some celebrity signings if not these specific 3.

Honestly, I would rather the Glazer's stick around and let ETH continue to build the team in the same way he has begun. I fear this takeover could take us back to the early Woodward days and see us competing with Chelsea for most wasteful spending and least impressive results.
