Christopher Nkunku

So Chelsea are trying to make an £18m profit on Nkunku after he's done nothing for them? Would just be like us to fall for this.

I'd take him on loan.

Of course Chelsea want us to pay 70m pounds for bit-part Nkunku, but they sure don't mind low-balling us for a 20 year old talented player with a long future ahead of him. Twats.

No idea what the fee will be and obviously don’t want to overpay but I think he’d be a very good signing.

£70m

I don't care what shenanigans this could potentially be in regards to PSR, we should avoid that like the plague.

I hope the Man Utd board respond like this to Chelsea's asking price for Nkunku:

There's talk of Bayern trying to use Tel as part of bringing Nkuku back to the Bundesliga - we should be all over Tel, forget Nkuku.

What's this obsession with us buying Chelsea's rejects?

My fear is that our club is actually dumb enough to spend big money on him, just like the Mount deal...

There is a beautiful symmetry to this transfer. Feels like both sets of fans will be disappointed.

Yeah honestly, no interest whatsoever in Garnacho. Feels like a pointless signing and a waste of money. We don't need him, he likely wouldn't start for us or even be first off the bench for either wing. I wouldn't sign him even if he was available for a £20-30m fee. I definitely wouldn't pay big money for him and give Nkunku away on top. I also understand the trepidations United fans have about the prospect of paying big money for Nkunku.

If he was our player and we were trying to move him on this window then we'd be looking at a loan without an obligation, with us still paying a percentage of his wages, and we'd probably struggle to get that.

Yeah the solution they found to keep him fit is just don't play him in the premier league

That might be why, or it might be that he had two seasons of bad luck in an otherwise injury free career. But, it's an unknown, for sure.

What we do know is that it's not true he's been mostly injured for the last year, like you said. I've noticed that you're playing very fast and loose with details lately, which is unusual for you.

The club making constant dumb decisions wears everyone down

Very much not keen on Nkunku anyway. A few years ago yeah he was seen as a good player but he hasn't adapted or looked the part at all in the prem and given I absolutely hate the thought of losing Garnacho, I'm probably going to be extremely critical of whatever we do as the supposed replacement. Nkunku in is not even going 10% of the way towards making up for it. Garnacho out and Cunha in is something I could see being something that helps us short term enough that the club deem it worth it and I still wouldn't like it on the balance, but I'd understand. Nkunku would be a big feck off IMO.

Also to add - a 27 year old who has recently had 2 years of horrible injury luck is worth nothing more than a cheap loan or a 20m max punt. And I don't think United should go after injury risks at this stage.

He wants to stay there though, doesn't he?
He did before, but so many links seem to suggest Bayern would offload him - it's weird almost every good player gets linked and he's a bargaining chip which makes me think he may well want to stay but they would sell him.

Loan with no obligation at best, otherwise don't want, sell Gernacho, get Cunha or a good No10, and at least 1 wingback.

If he can stay fit, he would fantastic to play in the position behind Hojlund/Zirkzee. That was his best position at Leipzig.
