Wouldn't particularly make sense to me. He isn't a #9, and most of our other current attackers are already obviously better suited to the #10 roles in Amorim's system than any other position. Meanwhile we have more obvious issues at wing-back, which I assume he wouldn't be bought to address.

For that type of player, I would prefer either Cunha or Marmoush.

loan with option to buy/obligation based on ambitious targets wouldn't be terrible.
Probably that no 10 next to Bruno behind striker. We need more goals and assists. Nkunku has it in his locker.

If that is a caveat for any potential player, then it should be a hard no from the start.
Cunha would be one I'd be looking at too.

Would be the most sensible option, also seeing as Amorim has already stated he won’t buy any Sporting players in January either.

You have Mazraoui playing wingback on his less-favoured side. And Amad playing wingback even though he seems more obviously suited to the #10/IF role. Just to sign Nkunku who would occupy that same position that Amad, Rashford, Garnacho, Bruno and Mount all most obviously fit into.
As opposed to just signing a player to play wingback, the actual problem position in this set-up.
They may be better suited but I don’t see where we have the options of inside 10 in our squad which make sense.
Bruno - maybe but can’t dribble.
Amad - perfect
Garnacho - undecided, still very raw and might be better suited to wingback.
Rashford - Perfect but he’s probably finished at this club.
Zirkzee - Needs to play central with the 10’s and wingbacks running past him.
Mount - Perfect but never fit.
We only really have Amad and Bruno but I think the position needs more quality. Rashford and Mount who can play the role probably aren’t the future and aren’t playing at a level which will improve us. Which leaves Garnacho and Zirkzee as viable rotation options which leaves us light in quality.
A wingback and striker is only 1 position where is we will always play with 2 10’s.

The new formation is going to leave a lot of attackers twiddling their thumbs as it is. Next summer, we may want to bring in more attacking options, when we're sure which players don't fit the new formation. But I can hardly see the point in January, especially for a player that has question marks over both their ability to play in our league, and their fitness. Doubly so when you consider the lack of options for left wingback.

Remember being gutted when Chelsea signed him . Looked like he was going to become one of the best forwards in Europe at Red Bull. About time we got one over on chelsea after the Mount deal. But conceded he has lost a bit since the injury . If we got him for a good price not against it. Imagine he is going to want crazy wages also
Just offer £70/80m for Gyokeres and be done with it get him asap.
Cunha would be a good signing for us and looks like his direct running would fit in with Amorim. His technique is also of a high standard.
He'd probably cost about the same as Gyokeres considering how much Wolves paid.

Quite likely true. I do like the look of Gyokeres but if we want to be serious why not both ? Cunha has quite a bit of versatility too. Would have to ship a couple out though and obviously we would be looking at the summer.
Either way Nkunku should not be a serious option for us we have enough injury prone players as it is.
I don’t know much about Amorim but someone mentioned that last season and this season he plays his wingback like an inverted winger. Hence why Amad and Mazraoui are in there. Amad been doing good on the right hand side recently while Mazraoui been doing good on the left side recently.
My concern about this is that they have been disappointed in their end product and decision making in the final third. The level of our current attacking players are below average. I think we need two new attacking players.
People mentioned that Amorim’s wingback are originally midfield and wingers. I could see Amad being converted as wingback in Amorim’s system.
The wingers in the 3-4-3 play as inverted wingers, not the wing backs.

I really wanted him before he went there, he was brilliant in Germany. But Chelsea must know something, perhaps these injuries are something that's not going away.
Loan with an option to buy is the only way here. Anything else is too risky and our money is better spent elsewhere, like an actual striker
