Christopher Nkunku

If we were to take one of the Chelsea flops I’d rather Joao Felix than Nkunku.
Agree at least he brings technicality to his play, Nkunku blunted Chelsea's attack when he came on. I know it is just 1 game, but City were defending heavily and completely shut that side out.

After the Mount transfer Man United should never do business with Chelsea ever again..
Let's not be hasty. Chelsea are the only club in the world that rival us for throwing insane amounts of cash at other clubs' unneeded players.

Not that I could ever see it even in the form of a loan, however where would Felix fit into Ruben's system.
I am not a fan of the guy and don't want us to sign him, but if there is one system he is suited to play in it's in a 3421 as one of the #10's.

Hardly breaking news is it. Even slow sports news were saying this yesterday.

A loan would make sense. When fit he’s a decent player and will suit one of the 10s.

Chelsea are just trying to have our kecks down again. They know Nkunku isn’t worth £70m but effectively trying to turn the Garnacho deal into a straight swap. In order of preference, it should be either a loan deal, or £35m tops (after they’ve paid the £60/70m for Garnacho).

Chelsea originally paid £53m and they think an injury prone player, a year older and who is not part of their first team is suddenly worth more, pull the other one…

Loan without any obligation and Chelsea paying some of his wages, then maybe.

So if that's the case why didn't he offer anything when he came on against City last night
Why didn't Cole Palmer score or Assist during the game despite being a quality player? You can't always pull up trees. He's got lots of quality that's for sure, gauging it on a sub appearance away against the defending champions is a bit weird.

I really hope the Nkunku rumors are just tabloid speculation and nothing concrete. While I remember him scoring goals at Leipzig hes always struck me as someone who doesnt press at all and seems quite lazy whenever I watched him play. Add his injury record he doesn’t seem like the right fit for Amorim’s system. Knowing us though we might still go ahead and sign him likely offering him higher wages than what Chelsea are paying him now.

If we can get this guy on loan without having to sell Garnacho then I'm all for it. I think he'd give us a lot more goal threat than we currently have.

That’s a madness. Chelsea would be batshit crazy to do that.
You are the one club as mad as us with fees!

In seriousness though, Nkuku looks like he might be done physically - he's not young and has basically been out for 2 seasons on off. I actually think Garnacho for him + £50m is a bad deal for United.

Hopefully we loan him from you with an option to buy, I liked him in the BL but I get the sense his body might just be cooked.

My prediction is that we'll buy Dorgu and loan Nkunku before the window shuts.

I mean no disrespect bro, but this is honestly cuckoo land stuff.

I get it from the perspective of really, really not wanting to lose Garnacho. I would not want to give up Colwill if someone offered me Gabriel + £50m but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be an insanely crazy overpay by Arsenal if they offered that.

Waste of time. Not even worth considering even on a free. He is at the age where he would expect a huge wage.

Can we not find players beyond Chelsea rejects? Let them deal with their stupid long contracts.

It's because he's a crock though? If it was fit Nkuku it would be a ridiculous idea, but it's a basically Garnacho for £50m as I see it.

Secretly I think this deal is a master stroke if we can get it done.

His creativity is up there with Bruno’s and he can play on the half turn like an Amad. Let’s just hope his lack of minutes is down to preference and not match fitness.

If Nkunku was proven to have a run of games under his belt sure. Otherwise he's just Mason Mount.

He's not really though. He's been almost completely injury free coming up to a full year now. His lack of minutes this season has nothing to do with his fitness. He's been sat on the bench every game and only featured in the conference league and early round cup games.

This isn't a relevant comparison though is it?

Garnacho has double the number of top flight appearances Colwill does, and Gabriel is an established, top class defender without Nkunku's awful injury record. Gabriel + £50m for Colwill would be a ridiculously stupid offer on Arsenal's part and ye would be mad not to take it.

Nkunku has more minutes this season alone than Mount has this season and last season combined.
