Christopher Nkunku

I was wondering about this guy earlier, weirdly enough. I know he was linked before his Chelsea move, and they have 30,000 players and apparently are still in the market for a striker. Could be a good pick up if he is cheap enough.

No thanks to signing another positionally ambiguous, injury prone, Chelsea attacker

Can we stop signing players that are versatility players? In isolation, versatility is a bonus, but when when you're only that and don't have a specific position or needing a certain system to flourish, it becomes a problem and gives us players like Mount and Zirkzee. Give us a proper striker like Gyokeres even if we have to wait until the summer window.

Yepp, same here. Good player but not for us right now. Lets figure the tutorial out until we go to level 4 in intermediate.

He clearly has abundant qualities beyond beyond versatile

He hasnt really got going at Chelsea and because of time out the team has moved on without him. If he gets back to similar form to when he was in Germany he's an outstanding player

He's their top scorer this season. All he struggles for is fitness and game time.

That said, not really sure how he'd fit in here.

That's the biggest asterisk Redcafe will allow.

1 goal in the league. 9 goals against the luminaries of Genk, Panathinaikos, Noah, Servette and Barrow.

I know he has qualities, but my point is; where does he fit? He isn't a 9, and we don't need more attacking midfielders, so where is he going to play?

I think we are much more likely to make a statement no signings in January.

I think the board will give this as a free hit for Amorim, get to know your squad, see what you can get out of them and we will see what you need in the summer.

You don’t think us and Chelsea are up to nonsense deals to get around the financial regulations. They took Sancho (god knows why), do we take this chap now?

Top player but no chance we go for him imo.

Injury prone, expensive, and doesn’t fit well with a number 10 that pushes high up the field (such as our club captain).

He’ll do well wherever he goes mind.

No chance we go for him in Jan (on a permanent basis) when we got the LB issue to solve.

I guess we need two #10s for Amorim's system and on a loan he might make sense to make up numbers there especially with an option to buy.

I dont think Sancho's replacement has to play. I think he'd be a good sub/competition for Bruno's position, but with Amorim's tactics we'd play 2 AMs behind the striker. I think Amad will enjoy that but that would also be a very good position for Nkunku

At Chelsea they have so many players in the attacking roles that he's not even a main sub and backup in the league. Thats why he might be interested in switching

Would gladly take him - but if we want someone cheap and quality - we should get Jonathan David

He struggles to score in a chelsea team that make chances for fun and he isn't an out and out striker either. No thanks.
He doesnt struggle to score, he scores when he plays. Main issue with him is fitness

We already have Bruno, Amad, Zirkzee and Mount for the two positions behind the striker in Amorim's favoured formation. Realistically it's where Rashford and Garnacho are most likely to play too. Mainoo would be good there too, although given the above he's more likely to get game-time next to Ugarte, rotating with Casemiro.

If we spend money on a forward who is anything other than an out-and-out #9, we're stupid.

Can't get a kick in the PL, but he's banging them in against Barrow-in-Furness and the fourth best team in the Armenian league.

What are we waiting for?

The Leipzig version would have been good as one of the two behind the striker in a 3421. The current injury prone version not too much.

Would be perfect for the number 10 role and coming from RB group he knows systems well.

Only concern is his fitness, other than that great player. All you doubters, remember when we want Cucurella and that was frowned upon.

Chelsea have some talent, the squad was just poorly assembled.

He's basically their cup and ECL option. Not surprised that he wants to leave. I guess he would be a good option for that 2 behind the striker in an Amorim formation though...
