Ban hammer has to be swinging soon surely
Maybe I can get a new trophy for 2022 picking apart his negative posts.

I mean I like a moan but I’m generally moaning for the optimism of United rather than taking a shite on the club haha

If ETH has informed him that he sees him playing a good bunch of matches, then I imagine he’ll be tempted to come. I don’t think he’d be up for it if he is quite literally a Mata replacement and warm the bench most weeks.

Journalist have reported every possible outcome for this transfer. Safe to say they dont have any clue where he is going

Yeah think you have nailed it

Can’t see him choosing Brentford over us unless he’s worried about game time. That’s the only problem that will stop him from joining us. Not often you get a chance to play for one of the biggest teams in the world, he should be grabbing it with both hands. If he stays at Brentford he’ll know he’s the main man where if he comes to us he won’t be, he’ll still be a very important player though. Imagine the creativity in our team if he joins, will definitely help us against teams that come and park the bus against us.

I think he walks into our team and improves it significantly. Certainly can’t see ETH wasting a second’s thought on this if he doesn’t feel the same.

He's the Jesse/ Mata replacement, so if whatever hours they got he gets, I'd understand why he'd not want to move his family for 2 years of pretty much playing bits of games with the odd start here and there.

Blimey. That would be a gross overrating of the players we have or a gross underrating of Eriksen. He would get 30-plus starts.

Possibly. We shouldn’t sign him if I am.
An odd take. Football is increasingly a squad game, signing players who are better than your backups but not as good as your starters is wise if you want to improve. Just as City signing Kalvin Phillips.
You’re an odd fellow
I’ve been called a lot worse, but this thread is full of the dumbest takes I think I’ve ever seen on the internet, and that is quite the bar.

You’re just going to look silly if he doesn’t turn United down.

Much better to wait than wade in

I’ve never said he won’t come here to be fair, but the suggestion that there’s no reason to sign for Brentford is nonsense.

Even as a United fan in his situation I’d be very tempted to sign for Brentford right now. Taking context out of this move is daft and it’s all over this thread.

I’m just not sure why you’re getting worked up about it. This forum is full of different takes and some of them are unusual. The nature of muppet season. It is what it is.

I can’t believe that Sheth guy actually changed his first name to skysports

Wrestlers changing their names to their wrestler name is good for their brand but who cares about Skysports Sheth. He’ll regret that one day!
I was literally thinking the same thing from another thread. Be really awkward if he ends up working for a competitor. I don't think you are allowed to change usernames right?

But numerous red cafe dot net posters have told me that nobody could have any reason to turn down Manchester United for Brentford

Eriksen may choose to stay at Brentford as the pressure to perform is far less than it would be at United. Considering what he's been through, you can't fault him for that.

As much as I'd love to see him in a United shirt, maybe Brentford would be the better option health-wise.

What the hell you talking about. He’s a football player. He decided to comeback into the professional game. I’m pretty sure pressure is not a consideration to him. Otherwise he would of just hung up his boots and joined a local power league.

Mr Empathy over here.

I'm not really bothered one way or the other, he would be a useful squad player, that's about it. I don't know why people are getting so worked up about it.

Yeah can see that way of thinking

Mr Empathy over here.

But what are you being empathetic for? Your concerned a guy who nearly lost his life on the field decided to get back on that same field and play have a season in arguable the most intense league in the world.

I’m sure we can both agree with that in mind. Pressure is not the issue here.

But please enlighten me on where I might be lacking empathy?
