Chevrolet Logo Discussion (Manchester United Kits 2015/16)

They've certainly saved the 'retro' adidas that a lot of people wanted for the 3rd kit!

When I think of Liverpool kits I think red shorts, adidas, Carlsberg.

For United kits, white shorts (or black depending on opponent). Red shorts on a United kit is a big no no for me.
I think of red and white kits with little black on as being Liverpooly, absolutely.
White United kits have always had black shorts though, why would you think of them as a full white kit? SammyJunn did too. Strange!

I think that's fecking wonderful! The socks will probably be different though, they just look like the home socks.

Will definitely be getting those shorts

In my post I was referring to home kits as well as away but sometimes we have played in all white, it depends on the opponent.

Actually, that doesn't look half bad. Don't get me wrong, it's a distant third behind the home and away kits, but it's not as bad as I had feared. I won't be buying it, but I suspect it may look quite sharp on the pitch. If nothing else, it's interesting.

fecking hell that black shirt and those shorts:wenger: They've ruined the united logo to make it work as well

Biggest kit deals for 2015/16
That graph would look very very different if there was a sports kit manufacturer based in Abu Dhabi :wenger:

We have to accept that, according to modern feminism, everything is sexist. From men's clothing and how far apart men's legs are on public transport, to models with healthy bodies.

Everything in western society that is, because tackling real oppression in societies and cultures where women are genuinely denied basic human rights and have to live under real patriarchys wouldn't attract the right sort of attention.

Don't forget air conditioning.

I'd say you lot are an absolute nightmare to go shopping with.

"Oh look at this Sweetheart, it's a plain black jumper. Would look super sexy on you"
"Whatever! Too black! Too much material on it. The cuffs on it don't represent my personality"

Jesus.....It's a gold logo! It's here to stay! Get used to it!

This seasons kit and last years are very nice but the logo completely ruins them, makes them look so taccy.

Wasn't getting at just you, but I have never seen a bunch of grown men acting like such a bunch of WAGS.
Whether they are all grown or not is unknown, firstly, and secondly, surely you recognise this WAG type behaviour on a daily basis here?

http://repucom.net/manchester-united-adidas-kit-launch-sponsorship/

Figures released today by Repucom show that Adidas and Manchester United’s new kit launch has generated over $2.3m in social media value in the first three days of its launch – making it the fastest value generating football kit launch campaign ever, for the sports apparel giant.

The campaign, launched on 1st August 2015, sees Adidas take over from previous kit supplier, Nike, in a $1.2bn (£750m) deal spanning the next 10 years.

The 2015/16 season kit launch using Adidas Football’s #BeTheDifference hashtag has almost delivered the same amount of value in those three days as Real Madrid’s campaign has achieved since launching in June, so far producing over $2.6m in social media value for the brand. The rate at which Manchester United has driven such value back to their new kit supplier is based largely on two factors, club activation and how engaged its social media fan base is.

The club has produced 38 posts relating directly to the kit launch, across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, more than any other Adidas club since June, including AC Milan (16), Bayern Munich (36), Chelsea (36) and Real Madrid (28). United’s digital enthusiasm around its renewed partnership with Adidas is matched by a social media fan base which despite being just over half that of Real Madrid’s, (76 million compared to 123 million) – the value generated through fan engagement is set to overtake Adidas’ other clubs.

Simply because this looks far better than the one with black shorts. And we have had all white kits in the past. It isnt like its Liverpool official colours.

This years white and black was okay, because we didnt have red in it imo.

It doesn't matter whether you think it looks 'far better', the reason an away kit exists is to provide a contrasting set of colours to the home kit. White shorts do not contrast with white shorts - black shorts do!

I don't mind the Chevrolet logo for the most part but having the club badge in red and the sponsors badge in full colour on the third kit is both bad design and slightly offensive.

I say no to the black shorts, yes to the white.

Our home shorts are white ergo our away shorts are black to contrast this. Yes sometimes we wear white away shirt and shorts but only if theres a clash. We also sometimes wear black shorts with the home shirt if theres a clash but it's not likely we will have a home shirt with black shorts any time soon.

Besides theres nothing stopping you buying the white shorts and the away shirt and wearing them together.

OMG i can't believe how much time people have.

It often drives me crazy when, often on this forum to, racism is shown as a bigger problem than it is and almost everything you say about black people is racist. But i agree racism can be huge problem and even if half a people go to far about racism it still has legs and i understand it.

But i just can't believe this sexism thing. It has absolutely no legs. Once when i worked as a student was one big incident when a girl send job aplication to be promoted in a firm but job was really a job for a specialist (evalueting damage on computer parts itd) and the girl didn't have any eperience in this job so they promoted some other guy. She complained to some feminist group and they made a boss to demote this guy and promote a girl. The story ended very badly with the girl being sacked after three months because she really did huge mistakes and the guy got his promotion back. And even when she saw she is not good enough for the job she still claimed that boss is sexist.
I showed my wife our women's shirt and she said it is quite nice and she would rather have that than a shirt than the one with the same V as a mens shirt.

Matching full kit wanker.

Don't forget air conditioning.

She does have a point in that some places aircon the shit out of a room as opposed to just having it at a comfortable ~22 degrees Celsius. When I studied in Brisbane it would often be really hot outside but wearing shorts and a t-shirt to the libraries was a no-go as it was simply too cold in there. Which begs the question: why would you want to spend energy cooling a room way more than what is comfortable?
But saying it's sexist is stupid. I mean if the men are perfectly fine in shorts and a t-shirt then you can't really crank up the temperature as the men probably aren't allowed to rock up in speedos whereas the women are allowed to put on a jumper.

I don't think it is. In fact, I think not enough is known about everyday, casual racism people endure.

But that's not for this thread.

Yeah, let's get rid of the red home shirts too, because Liverpool wear the same colour...
Traditions, traditions. It's not the colour per se, but the combination. White with black shorts is Liverpool. We were red with either white or black shorts - they were always all red. Some things shouldn't be changed.

The Black/Orange third kit looks absolutely lovely, I love the retro adidas pattern as well.
I just wish they could play around with the Chevrolet logo a bit more. Maybe invert the colours for the away/third kit or make it black and white etc.

Our white kits have always had black shorts...? Even when we wear white more often in a season, the kit has always been originally released with black shorts.

I might agree that all white is nicer, although depending on the kit black shorts is sometimes. However, we're dreadfully unlucky in all white
