Chelsea's FA Cup Draws

Our luck with the draws has been improving considerably at least. There was a stretch where we'd always draw a PL team without fail.

Yeah, twice in fact. 9 in row from 2006 to 2009 and then 8 in a row from 2011 to 2015. We've drawn a non Premier League team at home just 3 times in 10 seasons (plus 2 rounds in this current one). Chelsea have done that 18 times by comparison.

Imagine being spawny enough to get Millwall in the final.

The joke's on you since we beat the so called "invincibles' in the semi to play that final.. that semi was the final seeing as Championship sides Millwall v Sunderland was the other pair. Take your WUM'ing somewhere else

Well it's quite clear isn't it. Roman Abramovic has bribed the FA cup fixture selection committee with a considerable amount of money.

They're going to reach an FA cup semi by beating Morecome, Luton, Barnsley, Sheffield. It's a parody at this stage.

And we've had Watford, Liverpool West Ham and Leicester. Amazing.

Good Lord when you look back at the OP, you realise that this has been happening for two decades. It can be a coincidence if it’s a few years, but the only conclusion I can come to when the same thing occurs for 20 is that it’s bribery. No way to sugarcoat it. Roman is paying the FA.

Wumming
We have to win tonight first. It's all a bit rich coming from the team who got 42 penalties in OGS's first 115 games... It's just a coincidence, secondary competition, not worth fixing the draw even if we could.

We got Atletico in the CL,... Who did Utd get in that,.. oh right

Being fouled in the box = the same as getting extremely lucky in cup draws?

How’s it looking down there in 5th?

State of this post.

It’s a joke. Can’t do anything about luck though.

Calling it a secondary competition when back in 2003 chelsea would have done anything for a “secondary cup”.
That post would have worked if not for the fact we won the FA Cup twice in the six years prior!

Exactly! And you loved it, further proving my point, you in no way shot my fox then... no way...

I added some more data because I was bored. Not quite as impressive reading as OP, they've had their share of tough fixtures but it still feels like they've had it a bit easier than other PL clubs.

Imagine coming to a rival club forum just to wum. Sad.

If we banned scousers last year after they won the league, this guy's IP address should be blacklisted.

So basically, we've admittedly had it pretty nice in round 3 and 4 but from round 5 onwards anything but.

Even the one 'easy' one against Wolves only happened because Liverpool somehow conspired to lose at home to them the round previous.

get a grip.

no one really believes it’s fixed. But just admit Chelsea have had a piss easy route.

Enjoy cause you could end up without the CL at all simply put.

 That's actually mental. I remember Arsenal getting back to back draws against Sutton United and Lincoln a few years back to reach a semi but I'm sure even they played someone semi-competent before that.

Should Chelsea win the FA-Cup this season then i wouldn't respect it like their titles in 2008-2009 and 2011-2012.
Nothing they have done post-2004 should be respected. Financially doped their way to where they are now. Plastic nothing club

Funny how their toughest ever draw came the year after Abramovich was kicked out of the UK :wenger:

I still remember Citys cup draws when they won the domestic treble:

FA Cup, Rotherham, Burnley, Newport, Swansea, Brighton and then Watford.
EFL Cup: Oxford, Fulham Leicester, Burtonx2, Chelsea.

And the two Premier league clubs in the EFL they had to win on penalties.

Ridiculous this. I’m not saying it’s fixed because I hate tin hat theories but it’s a joke at this stage.

Law of averages has to kick in somewhere ffs. Spawny cnuts.
