Chelsea vs. Manchester United

My son - who has known nothing but the Fergie years - has just said that even when we've been behind before , he always knew we would - or could - turn it around. This is the first time In many years I've not thought it possible

SO many posters here would be so much more suited to Chelsea and City. Unlimited transfer funds could let loose their muppetry.

I hate the I will support the manager no matter what brigade, just so it gives them a moral high ground. I love United and it isn't the winning trophies, I can do without that. I just don't like my club being laughed at.

That was going wide, well done Chicha.

He's done well since coming on. First half when we were actually getting crosses in we needed someone running the 6 yard box but didn't have it. Shows what might have been...

10+ minutes left and Chelsea hasn't been playing well despite their three goals. Time to test them!

Of course we still can. It's only 6 points, I don't see how losing away to Chelsea (as expected) really changes anything.

It literally changes nothing, Liverpool is a much better game.

I expect this kind of mad sensationalising from the media who are loving this tough period for us, but from fans on the Caf. Woe is me.

Well done Phil Jones - been giving him stick today - but he did well there (even if it was a shot, still putting it in the right area)

Oh do feck off. Only time you ever post is when United are losing so you can have a dig at the supporters who might not think Moyes is the right man to take us forward. Like, is that such a shock considering how we've done this season.

How is Fletchers mission obvious?? We played.more.than a week ago.
Kagawa is as light as Januzaj.

How much football has he played in the last 2 years, he needs to be managed back slowly. Adnan is muscled off the ball a hell of a lot less, Kagawa wouldn't get the room in the centre today and he's shit outside.

Moyes options today were bloody limited and until he can get replacements for Young, Valencia, Evra and a proper midfielder he deserves some slack

Why do you not start with this guy against us. He ALWAYS scores against us! I would happily pay 30 million just for him to not have to play us again!

It makes sense to give the manager enough time to be assessed. He needs more than one season in my opinion. Doesn't make me a better supporter for thinking that though.

As for being laughed at, we've had it coming as United fans.

Why can't we keep the fecking ball? Why doesn't Smalling control it there instead of hoofing it up?

Yeah, its called Fergie turning a rank average group of players with Rooney and Van Persie up top into title contenders. Thats how good he was and they are.

How come Arsenal scraped third in the season when Van Persie won Player of the Year? This team needed work done, as did every squad in the league, but the difference is we fecked around and didn't improve while other teams did. Allied to that the players we do have are way better than what they're producing at the moment. I didn't expect the title or even a particularly strong tilt at it but I certainly imagined we'd make the top four (which we can still do) and didn't believe we'd be as bad as we are. I think Moyes should be given until the end of next season to put his mark on the squad and so we can see how the future might look but the reality is he's done a shit job so far.

Poignant, Erica.

To be fair, this is a lot more encouraging than when we spent the last 40 minutes of the City match without using our 2 remaining subs.

Probably. I am for giving him the summer transfer window, which will not be easy for him. See how we start the season and if there is a change in results and style. If we get to Christmas and no improvement, he cannot be allowed another window.

It's not a matter of supporting the manager "no matter what." It's supporting the manager while it's still premature to blame him for all the shortcomings and before he's been given any real chance to make his mark on the club.

The people blaming it all on Moyes are deluded.

Realistically it was a 10 minute period either side of half-time which wrecked us. Just like v City. fecking annoying.

They have been coming out of the woodwork since Moyes tookover, simply waiting for a chance to troll. Where were they when we were winning?

Apparently Young gives us more defensive cover, so I'm told...

Because Smalling isn't really a footballer. He's a pure defender.

In training they should really work on playing with 10 men we have the ball, and stop giving it to big Chris. I bet it would increase our overall passing stats 3%-4% alone. Teams know to let him have the ball now too, if you watch when he's at RB they always 'funnel' the ball to him, to gleefully watch as he attempts to pass it like the real footballers.

If United can't display the kinds of class that City and Chelsea so sorely lack then what's the fecking point? Being a stable, well-run club, which respects its traditions, is far better than being a puppet club run according to the whims of a billionaire who changes his mind week to week.

I see plenty of posters on here (not you) who obviously don't really give a feck about United as a club. They just signed up for a club that they thought would give them glory. They can feck off to Chelsea or City. It would suit then so so much better. All their transfer muppet dreams would be realised.
