Chelsea vs. Manchester United

I forgot we even had Ba. That's the second time this season i've done that!

I know what you are saying, but unless it meant a point would win the league or a draw would get us into the next round of a cup competition i would never take a draw. I well remember when Fergie was manager of Aberdeen and they got a draw at Rangers. The players were celebrating like they had won something, Fergie was not happy. Iam not confident of us getting a result , but feck if i will settle for a draw.

Well usually I wouldnt settle for a draw, but desperate times and all that. And besides, who knows what that point could be worth at the end of the season? If we get anything more than a point then great.

Away to Chelsea I think fergie would always have been pretty pleased with a draw. Especially under mourinho. Any result at the bridge is a good result, always has been.

He is due.

I'll be honest, I don't have much faith in the lads getting a result tomorrow, seeing as we've just not turned up in the big crucial games this season, aside from Arsenal. Hopefully we can rise to the occasion, but I'm not holding my breath. Rooney and RVP both out doesn't help either.

Win here and it becomes Chelsea/Liverpool/Everton/Tottenham/United for two places (3rd and 4th), with Arsenal and City beginning to really pull away. Lose here, and that top three will stay close together and distance themselves from the rest of the pack - making it the remaining four teams fighting for one place. I see Everton and Spurs losing more steam than us, but until we start putting a run together then it's pointless to say anything about our chances.

Due to Liverpool's superior goal difference, we're probably going to have to beat them at Old Trafford and still hope that they are at least one result worse than us for the remainder of the season (assuming we somehow win here). If we don't win here then we're hoping they lose an additional game and we manage some big away wins, as all of their difficult games are at home bar the trip to Old Trafford where we're likely to be playing all our cards to have a chance IMO.

Anyway, one game at a time and this is a massive one. I don't buy all the rumours about Rooney and van Persie being ready.. If they did travel I expect it to be to sit in the stands and watch, like a lot of injured players do. Bookies still have us at 4/1 so I doubt there's much truth, but if there is it gives us more of a chance at least, though I kind of like being the big underdogs here and I hope the Chelsea players fall into the mind-set of being huge favourites.

I personally believe that a draw is bad for both teams as it starts to leave Chelsea a bit too far off the title and us a bit too far off fourth place. It'd probably be a worse result for Chelsea though I guess.

Edit: Assuming Everton defeat West Brom they will take fourth anyway, probably a bit ignorant of me to not mention that. So, down the line we're likely going to have to win at Goodison, too. However, I actually fancy both Spurs and Everton to draw this weekend, with Liverpool drawing already, it could be our big chance tomorrow...

We'dd only be 3 off City and 4 off the top with a far easier fixture list to play, so it wouldnt exactly leave us miles off. I personally feel a gap will carry on opening between the top three and 4th down to 8th.

Is it true that RVP and Rooney have travelled?

I don't know if they have travelled, but I've had a hunch that at least one of them would. Moyes, whilst saying they would miss the game, said so in quite a coy fashion. I'm basing it purely on that, and I'll probably be very wrong. But I wouldn't be surprised if he's had a bash at the old mind games and one of them starts on the bench.

If both RVP and Rooney are somehow miraculously fit for tomorrow, I hope we don't start them both. As good as they are, they will be rusty and rough around the edges. I hope he partner one of them with Welbeck to start with. But that's a huge, massive IF.

City are going to leave you for dead regardless of tomorrow, they have literally shoved sugardaddydom right back up your own arse.

Not at all confident about the match, right now I would take a draw and be happy.
I hate being so pessimistic, I hope they prove me wrong and get the win be need.

Don't think United fans have ever been overly optimistic when going to the Bridge. A draw would be fair enough but I have a feeling we can nick it tomorrow.

Apparently some fans have seen Rooney, Van Persie + Jones* on the Macclesfield train station

*W.Keane, Lingard and Ekangemene too

But i haven't seen any pics so i don't believe it

I'm sure Rio will leak the team out soon enough.

He was managing Everton though. Not many clubs win at those places and 50% draws at Chelsea and Liverpool aint so bad is it?

Even if he was managing Everton, I think it's worrying that he's never managed to win. Not even in the cups, where key players are being rested. Not even when Liverpool has been shite.

A 50% draw rate isn't that bad for being Everton I guess, but he should have been able to win a couple of times, seeing as he's been considered a very good coach for a long time.

There was a time when we saved our best performances for Chelsea away and they used to return the compliment at OT. Remember the treble season when they came to OT in the cup and put in a great performance that they might have won. In the replay, we won 2-0 and it should have been 4. I hope we nick it too but with no Rooney, Van Persie, Vidic, and a paper-thin midfield, I fear the worst.

Our fears tomorrow are perfectly understandable, but then Villa go and almost win at Liverpool and that gives me hope. Also if WBA can almost win at the bridge then so can we! feck it, I am now feeling confident.I need a drink!

Things always look rosier through the bottom of a glass. I'll drink to that.

I reckon RVP and Rooney will be on the bench. It'll give them something to think about for sure, even if we don't plan to use them unless completely desperate. Having that fear can certainly effect their decisions.

ok...i may have had about 10 drinks....feck it

lets beat these motherfeckers

time for Moyes to show his worth!!! get stuck in to these rent boys wankers yeoeoeoeoeowww!!!!
