Potter doesn’t need to turn it around. The structure they are building to co strict a cohesive, more competitive and consistent team need to help him.Every match in the EPL is tough and it is hard to win away regardless of the opposition. So I'm happy that Arsenal have beaten Chelski at Stamford Bridge. That said, both Leeds and Southamption were harder to play against. Chelski definitely look the worst of the so called top 6/7. I have a lot of respect for Potter, so it will be interesting to see if he can turn it around.
A team owned by Stan Kroenke, one of the great villains in the destruction of small business and the middle class worldwide has very little room on a high horse for whatever it’s worth.
Arsenal had a good project though. And it took, what, 3 years?
Similarly I don’t think we will REALLY see the team they envision giving to Potter for at least two to three years. We were due for a massive turnover due to aging and injuries anyway, even without the bad decisions.
That said, we are about to enter a massive break period, with a window mixed in. If Chelsea add a young, quality midfielder to take pressure off of Mount and Jorgihno and others from dropping deep to shield the defense, and we get back players like James, Chilwell, Fofana, Kovacic to full health, etc, we could still easily compete for top 4 while “rebuilding”
