Significant injury... They don't sugar coat it, hopefully back in January.

Pretty disasterous in a dead rubber.

Need a result tomorrow.

Had no idea that had happened to Chilwell. Is the injury related to his older one? His career is getting heavily stalled with injuries now. Feel sorry for him.

His previous injury was to the ACL on his right knee. His current one is an injury to his left hamstring so I can't see them being related.

Ahh right. I know your opposite knee can be vulnerable if you have ACL surgery but if it’s his hamstring seems not.

Unless he was over compensating with the other leg, but the medical staff and physios should have seen it

Yeah, hamstrings are odd things. I've seem them go on teenagers, old farts and in the first 10 minutes and last 5 minutes.

In my own 20+ year playing career, I never, ever injured my hamstring, one of the benefits of being slow as shit.

I think it’s something you can work on. I recall Giggs having a reoccurring hamstring issues until he took up yoga.

Yeah was seemingly random. Sprinting after the ball in stoppage time at the end of the match, clearly it just went on him.

Desperately unlucky. Given the injuries to him and James over the past couple of years and how much running wing-backs have to do, there may be a fundamental flaw with the way Chelsea is constructed. The Cucurella deal makes a bit more sense in this respect - even if he has hardly lit the world on fire thus far.

I'm not sure what to expect from Chelsea tomorrow. Arsenal are favourites and even a draw could be good result for Chelsea. It's perfect occasion for Potter and players to redeem themselves after losing 4-1 to Brighton. Think Arsenal could score 2 or 3, then it's all about if Chelsea can score as much (or more) and I'm not sure they can.

This is an extremely interesting time for me as a Chelsea fan. The impact of the injuries, even on players still participating (Kovacic is rolling the dice going even 60 minutes), and trying to implement so many changes has rendered us a mediocre team at best atm. Arsenal SHOULD get a result against us tomorrow.

While everyone was laughing at them, they consistently stuck to a plan, and to their credit the end product is starting to look really good. They still have depth issues… but who doesn’t.

The question is: will Chelsea stick to the “consistent plan” project? They have said they are planning for the long term and Potters their guy regardless of table finish this year. Chelsea fans SAID they welcomed this idea, and craved that consistent identity. Pretty soon whether that’s true is going to be put to the test.

We still need a lot of changes to have a team that truly fits well together. The midfield being set for the “post Kante era” alone is a major change

We need to find a role for Kai or let him go. We look to have found something in Trevoh.

I just hope we don’t fall back into the whole “sky is falling” with every result.

Chilwell…he may be genuinely “injury prone”. The nature of his muscle injuries is concerning. If it became chronic that would be a shame. Chilly is a really fun player to watch.

Hurts like feck, never tore mine as I was a GK and did minimal sprints :D, but felt a pull there. But the worst pain i ever felt was hyper extended knee, couldnt run or kick a ball for months

Nothing can really be done to avoid hamstring injuries, they just happen. Can do the best warm ups, warm downs and be fittest in the league and it'll still pull/tear. His main issue when back to fitness is hoping it doesn't continuously happen to the same hammy, it'll be a constant problem otherwise.

I had a groin strain that didn't seem to go away for about 2 years, because I was never patient enough to let it heal properly.

Jesus, feck that. Might have been a grade 3, i think thats the worst strain, if i remember right

That's up there with the worst Chelsea performances I can remember.

They were absolutely appalling. I don't think they managed a shot.

What’s strange is Chelsea have just had their biggest ever transfer spend in a window just 1 year after winning the European cup, yet we’ve somehow just come up against the worst Chelsea team I can remember.
Still this.

Havertz is a shocking player. Don't understand what is the point of Aubameyang in their team. They need a lot of signings to fix this mess.

What on earth is happening, Chelsea have lost and The Religion still hasn't posted in here within 30 seconds?

I don't think many Chelsea fans really wanted the old era to end in fairness!

Early days. Shit today and for a few weeks in the league of course. Plenty of time though.
That's true, but it feels a lot like "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" at the moment in regards to sacking Tuchel. I know he probably wouldn't have won you the league anytime soon but you have to wonder if this board have enough patience to allow Potter to learn on the job. It's alright hiring someone because you like the way they sold you a player but are you prepared to let him work things out for the rest of the season?

This is easily our worst team in 20+ years. To go from Hazard/Willian/Pedro to what we have now in attack, after spending so much money is absolutely criminal.

Every match in the EPL is tough and it is hard to win away regardless of the opposition. So I'm happy that Arsenal have beaten Chelski at Stamford Bridge. That said, both Leeds and Southamption were harder to play against. Chelski definitely look the worst of the so called top 6/7. I have a lot of respect for Potter, so it will be interesting to see if he can turn it around.

Arsenal deserved this win easily. Very comfortable for you guys.
