Will you guys sign another forward? From a quality standpoint, you definitely could use another goal scorer. But it doesn't seem necessary from a numbers standpoint as Werner and Lukaku are replacled by Sterling and Broja and the former two had only about 2800 minutes combined in the league last year. Alongside Havertz, Mount, Pulisic, Ziyech (if he stays), and maybe Gallagher if he is played in the front three that is still 6 or 7 players for three positions.

Sarr deal is a good one considering we got him on a free and only paid him 1 years worth of wages. I believe that was always the plan with him anyway. Scoop up a highly rated young player on a free who probably would never be good enough for us and sell him on a couple years later.
We need one. I suspect both Ziyech and CHO will also go. Who it'll be? No idea. If I was to guess, based on absolutely sod all, I think a move for Depay on a free isn't beyond possibility.

It DEFINITELY depends on the owner. We have super cheap owners that are looking to make a buck , constantly sell players and stay way Under cap, etc. They are hoping to MAKE money as owners. And no, not all of them are. Some of them approach sports ownership as a luxury endeavor, they have tons of money and they want that rush if winning titles (Golden State). Salary caps exist in some sports to keep people like Jerry Jones from spending people into submission. In Baseball, Todd Boehly DOES spend people into submission.
But they aren’t stupid with their money either. I guarantee you Boehly has consulted with people like Edwards and he looks at it as money invested per position over time. Over investing in a position like Ro an did by signing someone just to save face over Haaland (Lukaku) is bad money.
Reaching for the attacking options left on the table right now unless you get back in for better long term targets like Laeo is bad money.
If you don’t sign FDJ, then next year who is to say you aren’t bent over a barrel for Declan Rice or someone else to replace Kante to the tune of 100 mil.

You can SAVE money by spending now, especially if you know inflation is going to play a major factor. The money doesn’t have to all count towards this window, even if you give them a majority of cash up front.
The way you should look at it is possibly saving a combined 30 million on two long term solutions at those positions.
Heck, spend 500 million this window. If you spend it right it will not be an issue.
American owners of Premier League teams, I thought it was a given that is what we were discussing. Both the Glazers and Kroenke spend quite a bit on their teams.
The Kroenkes for years didn't spend any of their own money. However, I've heard Josh say a few times now that they became more committed in that regard only when they took sole ownership in 2018.
I certainly think Josh especially has been more involved the past couple of years, & bar the whole Super League fiasco, ive no real complaints about how they've operated the last couple of years. However, Im not a match going fan as I live in Scotland, so they might have different views because of their experiences.

I don't quite understand the term "spend their own money". Arsenal is run as a business and is list as a publicly traded company. To spend money Arsenal either earn enough profit so that they can spend, or borrow from the market as debt. How can the owner spend his own money, and why would they? it is a business.

it is the same like Abramovich to Chelsea. Arsenal borrowed money from KSE which is owned by Kroneke with a non disclosed interest rate (which my guess is very low), and also without a set date for principle payment. On the book it shows as debt for Arsenal, and arsenal needs to pay interest to service the debt.

Our best is 220m pounds. I think we eclipse that without hitting all the targets we are linked to currently.
We needed to replace players and get some more quality in? Market prices are crazy, that’s not helping our expenditure but it’s all been necessary.
