Chelsea 2022/2023 | THIS IS LAST YEARS THREAD YOU NUMPTIES

One of your shiny toys being investigated by the FA for racism. Hope he’s banned for the length of his contract.

Is Andrey Santos going to be the Enzo Fernandez before he went to Benfica? A £10m signing, captain of Brazil U20 team and getting incredible reviews out of Brazil. I can imagine a player like him going to Porto or Benfica before being sold for £80m when he’s 20 years old.

We need work permit for him right if not able to get it we have to send him on loan.

If what is being suggested is true, fecking hell, we truly have gone mad. He was singing along to a song. Bringing him up on a charge for that just boggles the mind. Just have a word with him and say that he needs to be more careful. Thats it.

Cavani got a 3 game ban for less. Agree its stupid but the precedent is already set so it looks inevitable to me.

You have to factor the 'United tax' into any punishments from the FA. We always get worse punishments. For me singing along to a song simply shouldn't cause a punishment, but I dont like my life to be run by fear of being called in the media, which is how the FA operate, so...

And that was ridiculous as well. People are so scared that someone will call them racist, or worse still, accuse them of not doing enough to stand against it that they overreact to the most insiginificant thing. Context is irrelevant.

Surely Chelsea can't go and spend another 500 million in the summer? Something seriously wrong with the rules If this is allowed continue happening...

BTW Newcastle are going to spend a billion this summer If Chelsea can get away with this level of spending

Interested to see how he does in the PL. He was great for Argentina. To be fair to Boehly, I'm much more likely to tune in to Chelsea games this season!

Imagine if he's shit.
How can anyone possibly know if he’s good enough? He’s played half a season and had a decent WC. I know transfers are fun but it just shows a complete lack of thought and judgement and tells me your club is clueless. A serious club would never have sanctioned this move in January.

A "decent" world cup?

I agree with your point but he had an absolutely fantastic world cup.

So this means they have now signed in the summer and winter:

Sterling
Aubameyang
Fofana
Koulibaly
Casedei
Hutchinson
Chukwuemeka
Cucurella
Zakaria
Slonina

Mudryk
Fofana 2
Santos
Felix
Fernandez
Madueke
Gusto
Badiashile

That is 18! new fecking signings. They still have 18 other players under contract for next season, not including Kante who is likely to sign a new one. To say this is unprecedented is not enough.

I swear they don't even need at least half of the signings they made.

I wonder if Chelsea is spending all this money in Jan because the reckon if they wait till the summer and are confirmed to be missing out on the champions league, it might probably be a bit more difficult to get these players.

And not a single decent striker among them.

What a shite list of players this is.

They were saying on sky the total is more than all major european leagues combined.

Nkunku incoming in June, already signed.

You just know this is all the board. There’s no way Potter sitting in 10th in the league is in the boardroom harassing Boehly for these players. He’s probably keeping a low profile hoping he doesn’t get sacked

Serious question, how are they allowed to do this? I've never seen a club spend money like this, let alone in January. What does the FFP say about all these deals?

I mean, we spend a lot last summer, and I'm hearing that we are close to having problems with FFS. Chelsea have spent three times more and yet they keep signing everything that's moving.
