What are they going to do with a dozen of expensive attackers now? Play them in defence?

Hopefully bin Pulisic and Ziyech. The very fact we find ourselves in any situation where we rely on these 2 shows how bad we are.

This club is done, I actually feel sorry for Potter and hope he gets out of there.

They are trying really, really hard to outdo us last season. Going splendidly so far even!

Seven defeats in the last nine games is horrendous by their standards.

I have no words. They need an exorcist as much as they need signings.

Zakaria out now as well?

Good lord….

starting to think a bid will go in for Caicedo before the deadline...
All the talk is that he'll end up at Chelsea by the end of the window. We're linked but sounds like we're not going to go in for him.

The clown car rolls on. Look forward to seeing who they go after next.

7 of the people on that list can’t currently play …

People are acting like they are bad. This a straight bad luck issue. Does anyone really think if all this players were available Chelsea would be having these issues?

I’ve seen injury issues before, but what Chelsea is enduring is ridiculous.

They bough Fofana knowing he was coming off the back of an extremely long term injury. James and Chilwell had also already proven themselves to be fragile and the type of player that could provide options in those areas wasn’t looked at.

It’s a real mess and there is no strategy. The problem isn’t the injuries, it’s the strategy and squad building

terrible recruitment featuring dubious buys like auba & sterling

Chelsea have hoarded players for years & have arrogantly kept throwing cash around forever

Brighton have overtaken them despite being rinsed for their whole manager & staff

James
Chilwell
Fofana
Kante
Mendy
Loftus-Cheek
Pulisic
Sterling

Now Zakaria looks like he could be out for a while too. Felix will miss 3 games.

That’s 10 players he won’t have available, 9 when Felix returns in a month.

Potter has been extremely unlucky and it feels like the club is cursed this season.

Arguable that the bolded would all be in your best side too.

He has been unlucky but to be honest you've got a big enough squad that should be able to cope with this.

Look at who you could pick today. You had a bench that had the likes of Jorginho, Aubameyang, Ziyech, Gallagher, Cucurella, Badiashile on it. An injury crisis and that's your bench still!

Fofana was coming off a broken leg… that part of his leg is still fine.

They absolutely want more midfielders and a RB, but if even half that list were available you would be looking at a much different team.

Broja was expected to have a break out year. Cucurella was good cover for Chilwell, and has actually graded out MUCH better than armchair pundits think he has in our matches. Nkunku doesn’t play for us yet. Koulibaliy has struggled, but that’s because, like Silva, he requires better defensive midfield help; when Zakaria is playing he is generally fine. But, again, a Tuchel pick, not the current group.

Zakaria has an injury history, but the person we put in charge of our transfer strategy told us we didn’t need midfield additions, so that’s all we could get deadline day. And he has actually played really well… until injury.

We don’t have an alternate to Kepa because Mendy just had surgery.

We didn’t have a quality RB because Tuchel told us to force Azpi to stay and insisted he, RLC, and Trevoh could cover there (they can’t).

Pulisic injury prone as well, but like James, Chilwell and others … he was already here.

I’ve never seen a team lose an entire starting line up plus a few others. It is beyond weird, and certainly not something that can be planned for; that’s ridiculous.

We might literally be fielding our U23 squad soon.

But I get people enjoying our misery… EXCEPT the people gloating on the injuries… that I don’t get.

James, Kante and Chillwell are very big misses , Fofana too probably mostly because Koulibaly has been fecking terrible.

Not so sure about the others. Pulisic and Sterling have been rubbish for Chelsea and Mendy was already on the bench anyway.

Your U23 squad? Mate, look at the BENCH players you had tonight, better than a lot of teams starters. And you'll probably sign another 3 or 4 players this window, just because.

A cheeky bid for Pulisic or Ziyech ? Wouldnt mind them here as bench players. If anyone can get a tune out of Ziyech its gonna be our baldie

Fair point but we’re talking about genuine starters. We have a strong bench and there’s no excuse being down in 10th regardless but it just seems like one deflating thing after another with this season.

I quite like Chelsea's transformation into Blackburn under Venky’s
