I don't recall saying he is better than both now. Was my post read? I said 15m for Barkley doesn't look like a bad deal now considering what has been spent on Midfielders of his kind this season. If we bought Barkley for 50m hell I'd be demanding more from him right now, but considering its 15m and the performance he's put in so far I can only call it good business.
Keita and Fred have not performed anywhere near justifying 50+ paid for them so far this season. Barkley so far has over-justified Chelsea paying 15m for his injured low confidence self in January.

So? You are mentioning the fees. Nobody pays that much for injury prone players. The other players you mentioned were signed as first team players.. they will get their place in the squad eventually.

No honestly I can't wait to see what Fred has to offer really. Hoping to see him in your line up against us...pipe dream I know. We both know who will be starting instead.
Anyways I'm sure if Bale was available now no one will pay 50m for him.

You really pulled off a coup with Ross Barkely. I hope you keep making transfers of that quality.
 
Barkley only had 6 months? left on his contract which would have contributed to the lower fee.

People expect instant impact. Fred and keita are already flops. They don't realize that they waited like 8 months before making claims such as this.

It's just usual hype, when some team does well all their fans can't wait to register to tell us how bloody good all their players are. They won't be seen again when their team hits rough patch. njredtities it is.

Don't you mean since he joined Chelsea in January with a long term injury for 15m pounds? You guys are still waiting for Sanchez to explode right? Sanchez has been good so far but for the wages he is on you guys expect more.
Read the post again, I never said Barkley is better than Fred and Keita so far. I said for his performance so far he has justified his 15m price tag and made it a good business for Chelsea consider we might have had to pay 50m for a midfielder of his kind this season (hence the mention of Fred and Keita). Could have mentioned Fabinho and Jorginho but Barkley is not that type of midfielder. Seri is another example of the Barkley type and he also moved to Fulham for way more than Barkley.

Yeah, he joined in Jan and this is October. In 2 months, it will be year since Barkely joined.

Didn't Sanchez join in January? Aren't United fans expecting more from him because of his insane wages although he came for free? If Sanchez was on a 100k pw no one will have issues with his game now.
If Barkley came in for free i'd be elated, If he came for 50m I'd be demanding better returns. He came in for 15m with a long term injury and low in confidence and so far this season. I'm impressed.

Even if Sanchez is on 100K people will have issues with his performances, which is nowhere good enough for his level or any acceptable level. Not sure why your brought him into the discussion when it was about how Barkley has already proved how good he is (over justifying his fee (and wages too?)), playing grand total of 500 mins in nearly a year.

I'm sure this time last year, you were dancing around the streets shouting what a bargain Morata was.

This 500mins in a year thing gets me giggling. I mean regardless of the fact that he joined in January, injured, recovered, injured again, never fitted in n the system of a manager who hardly ever rotated....I could have sworn the league actually ended, we had a world cup, had something called pre season (which he played every game), actually started 4 games in 8 in the league, 1 in 2 in the Europa, 1 in 1 in carabao cup and come off the bench for another 3 in the league.
Or I could just be dreaming and the league started in June.

As for Morata well for 63m his start of the season was what I expected. Rest of the season was a failure and so far this season average to poor. The only jumping on the streets I did was missing out on King Touch the 1st.

:lol: You are not getting this aren't you? No one is blaming Barkley for playing just 500 mins since he joined, it's about how you said he over justified 15 min already when he barely played. It's not really difficult to understand, if you think rather baby worrying about next cheap shot on ManUtd player. You won't last long here, that's for sure.

Well if I'm not allowed to be impressed with a squad player we got for 15mil GBP and done well enough to earn himself a recall to his national team, on a Chelsea thread then....
The “over justified" comment was an exaggeration I admit but still doesn't change the whole point. For 15 mil he's done enough so far to justify it even if all he can ever be is a squad player. Just take a look at City's bench and see what I mean.

That does sound like a subtle dig to me, what about when the team isn't winning? Then again Matic moved to Utd despite being subbed on then off again after 28 minutes in a game. I think Mourinho always wants to be the biggest ego in the dressing room, that is why he doesn't get on with Pogba. His most successful sides with us were full of workers but Mourinho was the big "star".

No news yet on Romans plans?, the Feds seized some property from Deripaska in NYC. The NCA has started using unexplained wealth orders in London to seize property / assets off people who can't prove their wealth is "legitimate". Frankly I'd be very surprised if he still owns the club in 12 months, he'd have to be crazy not to try and sell in this political environment.

Hopefully we won't get any injuries from the international games, having seen Salah yesterday... Ampadu might have a slight knee issue already. I think a lot of teams will have big injury issues by the end of the season, the schedule has been too packed the last 12 months.

Seen a lot of complaining about the 6 minutes added time. How can anyone complain about that? United took 4 minutes during the sub when Rashford was injured. Plus united scored 2 goals. Don’t see the issue here. Complaints from a team that had fergie time for decades.
 
Won't challenge for the title, defence isn't good (yet) and the attack looks very reliant on Hazard.
