Champions League Semi Finals (26th Apr - 4th May)

There is no way Villareal can win this. The refs will make sure that people are sent off and penalties given for things much softer than the foul by Allison.

Porto already did that under Mourinho. Uefa Cup and then Champions League the next season.

I think Leicester winning the PL is hard to beat. Consistency is key in the league, and luck is far more prevalent in cups.
Only Nottingham comes close to Leicester, in my opinion, but different times

Villarreal don't participate in UCL too often i don't think, but they sure make the relatively few times count.

Don't get your hopes up; no chance Villarreal don't concede.
That Neville tweet has fecked us.

Villarreal CL campaign is proof why the Super league is one of the stupidest ideas of all time.

You have to earn the right to win and be in these tournaments.

I think I read a stat this week that Klopp has progressed from every European semi-final he has reached, even though he has always lost the second leg.

They're really taking the piss out of Owen having him stand next to those giants!

Now imagine in past editions, "if Liverpool score one, Villarreal need two to go through".

Not more of that shit, do you know what I mean? And to think I was radically against this change of rules.
The removal of the away goals rule has definitely improved the CL in my opinion.

Imagine after the all the chest beating about the PL and talk of La Liga's demise, it's 2 Spanish clubs in the CL final knocking out every credible PL club in the process.

Emmery is genuinely manager of the year material by this point, incredible stuff.

I still think pool will go through but what a bottle viareal has shown.

If not, it will be 3 out of the last 4 finals being competed by only English clubs. Don't know why anyone gets upset by acknowledging it is the strongest league at this time.

It's brilliant watching Villarreal. Quick touches and energetic, they're proper up for it.

Do you mean that any time Klopp loses a European semi final second leg they still advance?

The 'worlds best right back' 'narf concedes a lot of chances.

The United game lulled Liverpool into a false sense of security. If they lose this, we should get the credit.

No way, Emery.... Coquelin, this is Arsenal inspired.....

......including the 2nd half / late collapse! :wenger:

5 PL flops in the starting XI and they’re feasting against Liverpool. Emery is a demon. To think Arsenal yeeted this man to get Lego Pep
Its not even the manager. The players are good players and underrated. Capoue, Coquelin and Lo Celso are very good players.
