Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

Cakir is even worse than a standard turkish referee and he is getting games in the biggest stage. It is mental.

What will Real do with regards to Salah (assuming that's the final)? Would be tempting to play Marcelo as a left winger and having a defender man mark Salah. If Marcelo is tasked with marking Salah, it's asking for trouble.

fecking Ashley Young kept him quiet... I don't think RM will have any problem.

Plus the help of the ref, they will be ok.

Always, if it comes to Real. I am not even mad, i already expect stuff like this against them before the game starts. Sad but true.
I remember the semi 2 years ago iirc. When instead of Casemiro being sent off for a clear second yellow, Vidal got a second yellow for what seemed a legitimate tackle

Jupp set up Bayern brilliantly, not much he can do about absences and missing chances. Bayern gets too little from how good they were and that will ultimately decide this match. Lewa in particular has been seriously shit in both ties.
Completely agree. We’ve been far superior tactically. It’s just sheer incompetence when it comes to finishing.

There is NO penalty. Marcelo is actually OUTSIDE the box..

Real won't change their approach. I am afraid we will have to endure some heart-stopping moments and hope for Ronaldo to bail us out ("us" as we are all on Real's side that day ofc).

This place doesn't like to half moan

Who'd you rather play liverpool in final, bayern, or the team that's going to rob them blind?

Except its not

Madrids is particularly poor this year

Munich have a much stronger defence but are looking wobbly today

You guys have conceded the same amount of goals as Real have this season thus far in the CL, 13. Four of your goals did come in the qualifier though. In the league you've both conceded 37

Bayern have covered 60 km  These are Liverpool fitness levels. Madrid have run a lot too. If Bayern maintain the same intensity, they will win.

Agreed, his arm was glued to his body ffs...

People calling for a pen for that :wenger:

Edit - oh shit.. clear handball from the other angle

I imagine, it's the case the hand is faster than the brain... I meant to defend Marcelo here

Yeah, if Real need it they will get a helping hand from the referee.

I've seen this script already, Madrid to go through with some late goals despite being outplayed the whole game. Jammiest bastards in the world.

that's his problem, then

No it isn't, the rule is deliberate... If his arm is fully extend then fine... But his arm is barely away from his body, and in a perfectly natural position for the action that he's doing (i.e. Jumping)

You can't reasonably expect players to jump with their arms flat by their sides.

Honestly, if this was United, barely anyone would be saying it's a pen

Problem is there was no free kick either :wenger:
Well given it ended in lewa having a good chance and a corner, that wouldn't be too much an issue....if he played the advantage, which he didn't :D

It was last years quarter final. Also Ronaldo scored twice in a row from offside. One of them a few miles.

It's a clear pen mate. Even the studio refs agreed. Can't put your hand out like that and block a ball.

No they won't, they need to finish chances. Running more will do feck all

Madrid can't match their running and will concede other chances in the second half. IF Bayern continue to play like that, that is.

Poor Bayern, two years in a row being ripped off by refs against Real.

Todo el mundo quisiera ganar pero no de esta manera, no así.

Same Turk who sent off Nani when United had them on the ropes in 2013. Like clockwork.

That was last year man  Still fresh in the memory.

Would be fantastic to see Madrid eliminated in their own stadium by an absolute refereeing howler.

I was like, wow, that's a pretty outrageous thing for a United fan to say... Then I saw you support Barcelona, and it all made sense

I agree though. I'd not really mind if Bayern won it, but Real? Again? Meh to them.

Spot on! Just someone different for once
