Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

1) Chance for Roma in the Liverpool box, Lovren dramatically throws himself to ground winning them a soft FK.
2) An identical situation in the Roma box not punished and Wijnaldum scores
3) Karius as the last man brings down Dzeko in the box, wrongly flagged for offside
4) Alexander-Arnold as the last man blocks a goal bound strike in his own box with his hand, nothing given.

And that's just from the top of my head. Shocking officiating. I can guarantee probably only of these will be brought up in the post-match.

Absolutely none will be discussed in the UK press...

Roma are the biggest bottlers of the season.

An absolute shamble pair of “performances” over the two legs.

If only Barcelona didn’t lose the Quarters, we would surely be seeing an El Classico final.

Zidanne and co. will be rubbing their hands together at this second half Liverpool performance

I don't think they will. Zidane understands that every game is not the same. Liverpool don't have to bust a gut here.

In am honesty, this second half performance from Liverpool has looked tired and vulnerable.

They'd be crazy to go full strength on Sunday but I bet they will

This is actually a good point.

They haven't played anyone of note, though. City are still lightweights in Europe and the rest of their opponents were average at best.

Real is the first genuine test for this Liverpool team. One they will no doubt fail.

Id Stoke and West Brom can hold them then Madrid should be fine. Hell (in my own words) one of the worst United teams in my lifetime can do them, then Madrid certainly can.

Madrid aren't going to defend their box and kick the ball back to them waiting for a mistake as those others did. Liverpool are a bit one dimensional when it comes to breaking teams down but they are deadly in transition against teams who get out of shape and commit numbers forward.

Their CL form and PL form are very different.

That's true to be fair but City have battered them for 70% of their games and Roma have battered them tonight for most of it. Madrid don't need as many chances to do damage and the refs will always be in Madrids favour too. I have faith (or maybe I'm just trying to allay my fears!)

As mentioned, they didn’t necessarily have to really try to he aggressive considering the score.
