Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

Why would we cheer for the scum and also against the best ever United player we've ever had in our history?

He’s the best player that’s ever played for united (based on what he’s done elsewhere) but not the best player that man united has ever had. His overall performances for us don’t even put him past what giggs did for us.

We just need to pray for an early Roma goal.

I reckon they'll get one. It'll be like the City match at the Ethiad, only the Roma fans won't go silent when we score, because they're quality.

2-2 is my guess.

Liverpool are in the final guys, come to terms with it. You can point to the Roma - Barca 2nd leg but a game like that is a massive exception, not the rule.

I don't think "Liverpool's name is on the trophy", far from it, I would still fancy (and desperately want!) Madrid to beat them in the final. But if you're hoping for a huge turnaround tonight you'll be disappointed.

Take your negativity elsewhere. I’ll hope for whatever I want.

Not gonna watch tonight. It will be one of the biggest shocks in recent times if Liverpool don’t go through tonight.

(Please work jinx please!!)

If Roma set up the same way as the Anfield way, no way Pool won't score at least 3 goals.

Right now, Real Madrid have a MUCH higher chance of beating Roma so everyone pray to whatever god you follow and let it happen. On current form, Liverpool might even end up the bookies favourites against Real before the games starts.

Jinx never works when it is said it is jinx. On the other hand if you don't say it here on caf, you would be crusified.
Example: Liverpool will win CL.
Now watch everyone go nuts on me. :scared:

I do sometimes give food a local begger if Ive over cooked so my karma yoga is pretty much balanced.

:)

If it does go tits up tonight then a free week in Katowice / Krakow with cheap ale and fit birds will take the pain away a little. Not to mention a baccy run too.

I hope I lose 50 quid like Ive already said.

Why the feck would you spend more than two hours in Katowice

In Liverpool's 52 games played this season to date, they've conceded 2+ goals in less than ten minutes (as good a 'capitulation' metric as you can point at top teams and an insight into their mental strength at reacting to set-backs) on nine occasions. West Brom - yes, West Brom - actually managed it twice against Liverpool this season, both home and away. Arsenal scored three goals in six minutes against them. There is plenty of evidence to suggest this Liverpool team react badly to adversity (particularly away from home) and Roma showed in the first and final 15 minutes at Anfield that they can hurt Liverpool when they build up ahead of steam.

We all agree that Di Francesco's moronic high line was the difference at Anfield and I doubt he'll make the same mistake tonight. Perrotti's introduction in the first leg changed the game and I'd fancy him to cause Liverpool problems again tonight. Nainggolan and Dzeko looked superb at times too at Anfield and I think they'll have a big say tonight as well.

I feel like a bit of a repeat is gonna happen tonight - but not of the Roma - Barca game. Rather, of the City - Liverpool one where the scousers will be under pressure for a lot of the game but still go through, and maybe even win the match itself.

Liverpool should be favourites. If Real defend like they did last night the scum will rip them a new one

If (and it’s not an If, they WILL do this) Liverpool task one of their CMs to keep track of Marcelo and double team him with TAA, real Madrid’s main threat is gone and every single time he loses the ball, Salah has the same amount of space he has against Roma. The only way that scenario wouldn’t play out is real setting up purely defensively, or Marcelo having the game of his life and dominating his highly inferior opponents.

Perotti is injured.

So 3-0 to Roma tonight then?
:nervous:
No, Salah to score in 89th minute for 5-1, commentators on BT go ape mad happy screaming and shouting, "one more, we can do it", Klopp goes mental, whole team attacks and Roma scores from quick counter attack in 91st minute to shut them all up, except, of course, us on cafe. We go celebrating whole night.

Hmm, I actually like this story.

It's borderline... pretty much impossible to tell, and there doesn't seem to be a conclusive angle anywhere around.

Also, comparing the foul on Lewa to the foul on Vazquez in the Juve game is a bit of a stretch

mate that was penalty nothing borderline and the one on Lewa was probably too
This referee is a mediocre one and if I am not wrong he must love Spanish teams

Ah, I hadn't heard that. I was impressed with him at Anfield. He's an intelligent attacker and I felt he was getting into lovely positions behind your midfield.

Have Liverpool any injury concerns?
Personally I thought that the match changed when Salah was subbed off and Ings went wide right. It looked like Roma had a foothold after that, particularly on that side of the pitch.

I don’t think so other than Wijnaldum replacing Chamberlain in midfield.

Comparing Real's and Liverpool's paths to the final is hilarious.

Real have come up against Dortmund, Spurs, Juve, PSG and Bayern. Liverpool have played no-one of that quality.

Man City are at least as good as all of those teams.

God just looking at half of that team, they are so mediocre. Henderson, milner, chamberlain, the one guy who i dont even know.

Take out Salah and you barely have a good team. They're having some insane luck throughout this competition

Just because you dont know him does not make the guy mediocre, it just mean you dont watch/track Loserfools.
And If you mean Robertson or Alexander Arnold, they have been pretty good last 4/5 months.
