Champions League Round of 16 fixtures

First real look at Wanyama and I'm impressed so far. Good passer, calm on ball. The black Carrick.

Don't think he is as good a passer as Carrick, but gives more Physical presence and aerial ability. Fellaini ain't bullying him around.

Pirlo's beard is magnificent.

feck it's good to have the UCL back! Makes me even more nervous about tomorrow night. Anyone watching either of these matches? I can't decide which one to focus on, so im swithcing between channels every couple of minutes.

He can work on his shooting but Wanyama would be a great addition to our squad

That was such a great feck-you moment from Pirlo, to Brown, and the pass

That would be great to see, although the chances of them overcoming a 3rd placed team from another top league are slim. They'd drop into the Europa league regardless, right?

Yeah, they'd go to the Europa League, but that wouldn't be nearly as interesting, plenty of teams of their dimension there. They themselves were in the qualifying round for the UEFA Cup a few years ago.

Slim chances of course, but we never know. No one thought Braga had a chance when they got there for the first time but they got past Celtic and Sevilla (and with style). And Paços would only have one qualifying round and while they can face an Italian or Spanish team they can also get the likes of Greeks or Danish and I think it's almost even chances in that case.

They're very tough to beat in their stadium for the likes of Porto and Benfica, so they would also be for an European team. That said I doubt it fits UEFA's minimum requirements so they'll likely have to play in a borrowed home.

Juve is playing the long ball tactic and Celtic's defense looks dodgy as hell.

Great game so far. Celtic are giving it a proper go and deserve an equaliser. Juve look dangerous on the break though.

Celtic actually playing football and doing well.

Midfield looks up for it but Ambrose is all over the place and the whole backline looks nervous.

There will be more goals by the looks of it

Thank feck we don't have to listen to Townsend tomorrow night.

Hasn't convinced me

He's only 21 and defensively looks fairly decent. I think he could end up being a power house in midfield. I'm not going to sit here and say I've seen him extensively but the games I have seen he generally impresses

Argh, Lavezzi should be booked for trying to get someone sent off, Valencia shouldn't have played the ball out and the ref should book half of PSG for being a bunch of moaning bastards.
Why are you guys watching Celtic when Valencia - PSG is on?
Because Valencia is a shit game. I'm watching it because that's what's on my tv, I'd much rather see Celtic - Juve.

If juventus managed to sign rvp this year they could have won the competition.

They have a great team but seriously lack a top class striker
