Champions League Round of 16 fixtures

Well look, England are a better side than Ireland. Don't let mean Randall annoy you anymore. And get a sense of humour. It will help you, and spare the rest of us.

He never annoyed me one time, didn't in the Euro, certainly won't now. Feel free to have your view though. Maybe if you take your D out his arse for a minute, you'd be annoyed as you'd have no where else to stick it.

Stop trying to climb on mate. :D

Yeah, especially since he rebuilt the club. He's clearly had his hands tied and the likes of Chelsea and City outspending him. But heh, such is the way of football.

I want to defend him too, but he has bought shite, and if there is money he's not spending then that's an even worse charge.

Not sure about that I'd think we'd have a very good chance vs them.

I reckon we'd probably try and hit them on the break. There just so strong in middle of the park.
We all dislike Arsenal and Wenger but yeah they just seem so far fallen now. Wenger has run his course now and it's sad because we had some great times with our rivalry back in the day.

To be honest I don't dislike them, surely we had a fantastic rivalry but that was an on pitch one.

Bayern vs Barca is clearly the final of dreams.. for a neutral.
If we play Bayern, I say we let them score 1 or even two and then just replicate 99. Could you imagine their faces.

 Best answer

It's like our game against Madrid. Bayern soaked up Arsenal attack, goalkeeper made good saves, and looked dangerous on every counter. The difference in our scoreline is because Arsenal's defence (especially their fullbacks) is a joke.

At least Arsenal can go out there and enjoy the game now. They don't spend as much as Bayern, United, City, Barca, Real, hell even Liverpool so if they did they would compete better IMO.

Look at the keeper alone, Arsenal have a kid, Bayern paid top whack.

I think they should not turn up, and save the flight costs.

No it wouldn't bother them at all, apparently (according to expert Randall) them knocking us out with Hargo in the earlier knock out rounds equals ten times more pain them 1999 and Pierre Luigi picking them up off the floor in the Nou Camp.

He deserves a summer to put things right, I hope he gets the money to spend big. He's also had his best players leave due to a wage ceiling.

Yep, he's far blameless, but your odds of success in the transfer market go down when you're not buying from the top tier of players. That said there have been a few odd ones of late. Allowing Walcott to use his contract dispute and the press to bully his way into starting up front didn't sit right with me. Wenger obviously didn't think he was a striker up to that point, so why change?

I'm not saying sack him, but the graph has been pretty constant for a few years now.

And Heynckes about never (and if he does it with a big lead or with a defensive solution) subs Müller in away matches this season. At home he gets rotated - not away.

Arsenal's midfielders were running past them on many a occasion and then the have Buyten and Dante at CB with Alaba on one side. They can be gone at.

Also they looked unorganized at Corners with Neuer flapping.

I'll be decently confident against them in the finals. They'll certainly not steam roll us like Barca.

True but like I said it's hardly been a level playing field. Currently they're in fantastic shape having paid for The Emirates.. I mean just look at Liverpool in comparison - all at sea without a brand spanking new stadium.

Some inspirational, courageous, brave, motivational, awe inspiring 5 yard passes from Wilshere tonight. An absolute honour to watch such an inspiring man. Very good player but feck me the arse licking is nauseating.

Nah, that is flattering us. Bayern truly looked a class above, arsenal had 1 shot in the first half if you could call it one, and the goal they got came from a corner that should not have been.
Bayern also passed it much better than us, everyone in their team looking very comfortable on the ball... They did play a much weaker team of course.

Personally I think if there is money he is not spending then that is the only reason to get rid. And he's been saying there is money to spend for 3 years now. If there is no money they would be insane to sell him. Most of the criticism is in the context of unspent money.

This has to be the worst mental state you could be in, when you know you're out, but you have weeks to ponder it before it's officially over and you can put it behind you.

Yea I agree with this. There's the notion that he's doing a great job because he's working with one hand tied behind his back, which is a fair argument, but if he's the one that tied it there then it's rather damning.
