Champions League Round of 16 (18th Feb - 8th Aug)

Very good second half after switching back to usual formation. Our most composed performance against a big team in Europe.

I hope we dedicate the win to Javier Tebas.

It was clear to any half-decent football fan that La Liga has taken a step or two back this season in terms of overall quality. This game just cements that imo.
Well, yes and no. Yes, the both us and barcelona have dropped a level, but also, City are just an amazing side

Congrats to them. Well deserved

City, PSG, Atletico and Bayern/Barca. United, Inter, Shakhtar and Wolves/Sevilla. Should be a cracking set of semi's.

How the feck Sarri is going to stay after this ? I can't believe they won't pull the trigger now. They're wasting the last good years of Ronaldo in football.

So Mancity win is inevitable? Just when you thought 2020 can't be more shitty

Bayern look the team to beat and they have all the assets we struggle against. strong strike who can bully CB's and most of all rapid pace out wide.

Juve entire gameplan was to hope Ronaldo do something. They are so average in almost every other part of the pitch.

Out of their last 6 games without Ramos, Real lost 5 while only winning against Nicosia. They'll need something unusual to happen, like an early red for City.
2-1 City would be my guess.
As for the other game, I'd also go with a 2-1 for Juve, meaning they're going out tonight.

Never bet against Ronaldo. Or Zidane.

Well, turned out there's no reason not to...:D

City should be wary of Lyon.

Could get picked off on counters with their current soft defense similar to that Monaco match 3 years ago.

RM looked knackered tonight. Both teams were struggling with an oppressive 30C temperature, but RM really looked laboured, especially in the 2nd half, and then two absolute howlers ....

I hate to admit but City are looking good. They just rolled over Madrid. They are hitting form at the correct time

Not inevitable, but they're the best footballing side in the world. Will likely have Bayern to meet in the semi finals (or Barcelona, but probably Bayern), who are the 2nd best team in the world IMO. Would rank Liverpool 3rd right now.

Could see the nightmare scenario (for purists) of City vs PSG in the final.

Hopefully  I don't think we'll be consistent enough due to fatigue, need to beef up the squad. Sancho obviously a huge step in the right direction

Any news about that? You know something we don't?

I don't give Barca much chance vs Bayern to be honest. They could even go out to Napoli.

Juve have some big decisions to make in the coming weeks, managerially and on the market

We wax lyrical about the talent Juve sign and their clever transfer strategy yet they win naff all outside of Serie A.

Ramsay
De Ligt
Higuain
Ronaldo
Danilo
Rabiot

Actually, quite poor.

I cannot believe how rubbish Real Madrid were tonight. Man City look like real contenders tonight, sadly.

How did Juve manage to lose to Lyon?
Honestly, hilarious ref gifted two ludicrous penalties in this game. Otherwise i think they would have gone through

But still, yeah. They're far from the level they need to be

Maguire makes the same mistakes Varane did tonight he gets lynched by the media and United fans

And varane should be raked over the coals don’t get me wrong, but he’s been better for longer than Maguire

Thought City were much, much better and probably deserved to score few more.

The first Juve penalty was weak as well and Juve couldn’t score against Lyon for nearly 135 minutes. But the ref was crap for both sides

They are lacking in creativity and dynamism both in midfield and attack.
