Champions League Round of 16 (16th Feb - 17th Mar)

What a game, had me shouting at the TV towards the end. Felt like a CL classic.

Enjoyed that game, happy for Porto but disappointed Juve didn’t go through

That's probably game over. Sorry but a late Juve winner would have been the icing on the cake for me. Still, crazy night.

Yeah I'm glad Porto went through, if nothing else but for their two centre backs who were incredible!

But if Juve had scored at the death, that match would be going on the shortlist for great games of all time!

Unbelievable stuff. Juventus definitely have a mental block with this competition. That's three straight years of going out to teams they were heavily favored against.

Liverpool will get Porto. Hopefully Anfield is still a fortress for the away side then.

Signed CR7 to win the CL. Get knocked out by Ajax, Lyon and Porto.

Watching bums like today's teams, we really should be playing Champions League football.

Crashed out like fools, really... but this is the essence of knock out ties, so well played to Porto and back to the drawing board, going on with the rebuilding, shedding out more big contracts this Summer.

It's a shame we went out, we would do well against the likes of Bayern and City with our counter attacks.

Both Juve and Porto would be training cones if they come up against either of those two, it's probably already been sorted out for City to get Porto.

How's Malang Sarr been? Only caught parts of the game.

He was good, as was Pepe. Pepe more with the ariels and Sarr blocking.

Hard to tell who did what at times though as Porto had a back 6 for most of the game.

Who is the post match host for UCL games?
I see Joe Cole and Rio.
Not sure who the other guy is.

Every time I see him, he sounds like a massive tw*t.

Warriors.

Kind of fits the night, that it was Ronaldo, of all people, who let the free kick past, because he ducked away from it.

They made two finals in 3-4 years before this little run. They used to have a mental block at the biggest stages. Now they can't even get to those big stages.

Great to see one of my all time favourite CBs Pepe still going strong.

Just want to add, despite his goal, Rabiot is still shite and I have never understood why he was hyped up a few years ago. Erratic in every single game

Cheers.

Unrelated, but both games today have really rubbed it in how much I miss fans in the stadium. Would have been brilliant with a crowd.

As I read someone writing tonight, the end of this game deserved a cigarette, what intensity and what emotion in this game.
It is always wonderful to see the weaker beat the strongest, being brave, even having to play in numerical inferiority for more than an hour.
And Porto was the best team in the 2 games.

What a legend is Pepe!

Porto doesn't have 70-100m players in their team, but they pass the ball really well.
