BLOOMBERG FINANCIAL MARKETS UPDATE 20:06

Real Madrid is no longer interested in hiring Pochettino

20 mins of one match (with two goals from deadballs) and this place is full of ppl making statements about the quality of full leagues...

Lamela's getting a yellow next time he goes for the ball.

In games like these the full backs are so so important to provide width. Ben Davies and Aurier sadly are a down grade on Walker and Rose and it hinders Spurs.

They don't deserve to be 2-nil down. Killed the tie now, which is a shame.

They don't?

They defended a simple set piece miserably and fouled a Juve player in their penalty box. How else would a team deserve to be two goals down?

That's a poor revisionism of Spurs achievements imo, they still had to face RM and Dortmund twice. Anyhow it's been 10 minutes and 2 poor mistakes, aside from that Spurs have been better in play. Far far too early to say that the PL sucks like a lot of people are.
Nobody is saying they didn't do well to top their group. But it's the group. Means feck all as long as you qualify. Teams play with a much greater intensity in the knockout rounds.

Also how have spurs been better in open play? Juve dominated the open 10 minutes and deservedly got the lead. Spurs had nothing. They look second best at everything so far.

This shows how important experience at this level is. This is perfect for Juve, they're incredibly hard to break down.

Higuain doesn't get the credit he deserves, unbelievable striker who's only problem used to be that he didn't show up in the biggest games but that has definitely changed.
Keep in mind when we played against them they were in the worst moment of the season, but after that they went to Napoli and won there, they have more experience at this level than Spurs, remake of the semi they had with Monaco 2 years ago.

What's the thinking behind Lamela over Son? Experience in Italy?

reckon Spurs had better think about scoring the next goal in this tie - and preferably tonight, or they're more or less done, already

LOL these guys on FS1 still argue it´s a penalty for Kane and the German ref is weakened, because he has no VAR. Also that if he gives the Davies one, he should give that one, too.

I'm not surprised. Juventus is a better team. Tottenham have only a few players (Kane, Eriksen, Verthongen) that would start for Juventus.

So many goals great! Hope this will be also the case tomorrow

what score is City? No one said...

The only time Juve ever scored quicker than this in a European match was against us in 1997. We came back to win 3-2.
