Champions League Quarter Finals | Chelsea vs Real (Tue) | Bayern vs City (Wed)

Unless its the slight bad language you dont like, Im not sure I see much of a difference. He really has been a shocker 2 legs in a row

I meant in general. He's not a shit player because he's had two awful performances. He's a really good defender.

I guess we don't have any tactical variants under Tuchel so far? All subs for the same position across these two legs.
Forgetting this game (or round of cl), have you had any type of improvement since changing managers?

Imagine if Lukaku scores the winner for Inter against City in the final.

If you took this level of Bayern and Chelsea's finishing and put them up against each other, they could play every night for a week straight and still not score.

Like Chelsea yesterday they’re a bit too slow and clumsy in front of goal

They did this yesterday showing replays whilst the game is going on and missing something big (almost missing a goal)

So annoying

This is about the same as maybe West Ham or Fulham being bought by Qatar and just brushing Real Madrid aside in a decade, while largely in second gear. Most tellingly about how ridiculous the whole thing is, is that its actually a decent bayern squad. You can have as many conversations as you like about how to make the sport more broadly even, but this is just not it and its hard to believe anybody can think otherwise. Theres a myth of a 'status quo' people like to trot out.

It isnt sport and theres just no argument that it is. Its entertainment, sure, and its a high quality city side deserving to win, but it isnt sport.

Nope, Kimmich should be playing RB, I find him really basic in midfield.

Wow…basic!!!

How many midfielders have managed to control the games City?

Bayern are losing cos of Upamecano and a lack of a proper striker.

Both Milan sides, Ac Milan and Inter played very mature and compact quarter finals - more "hipster-like" sides from Napoli and Benfica who were known for very open and ludicrous attacking game plans so far into the season, weren't finishing off their chances and couldn't keep their game in tact enough to go through.

Kimmich was one of the best midfielder in the world before he got long Covid (again, i'm not a doctor, I can't say if it's related). He's still very good and obviously far more useful to his team in the midfield.

But he used to be much better. He could defend, pass, create, score, he could do everything.
