Champions League Quarter Finals | Chelsea vs Real (Tue) | Bayern vs City (Wed)

I feel like Madrid are making this game harder than it needs to be. They should kill the tie off tonight.

Ah right well that’s that then.

Liverpool put 7 past us so why are we still in all cup comps, having won one already, and they’re in none, as well as 12 points behind us in the PL?

That’s not how football works
But wasn't your argument that we should beat Madrid because we beat Barca?

Maybe not at the very moment but at our best we are better than them I think. If we can get some sort of consistency going then I think we are better than them.
This is delusional. They are the Champions League holders. We have a goal difference of +7 in our league...

Real low quality game compared to yesterday's

Still though you'd give Madrid a good chance of beating City all the same. They usually only ever play enough as they need to. Lots of games they'll look shite for 60 minutes and still win it.

Honestly annoying how little credit Real get these days from football fans, just because they don’t employ some modern “system” with players having a bunch of rules

If you’d never have watched them people’s description of them would have you think they were Leicester City ffs. It’s a breath of fresh air watching these guys, as they can adapt to any type of game because of their elite footballing IQ collectively. No need for some rigid system, they are the Anti-Pep

They weren't crap against spurs, they battered them home and away. And the further they go in this competition, the more confident they get. It's a young team, if they make the final chances are good they'll be at their best
WTF? We must have watched different games. My takeaway from it was that Spurs were utterly dire, rather than Milan battering them or being particularly impressive.

That's part of the reason they're so good too, they lure you into a false sense of security, next thing you're 2 down on the break. They're that kind of team. They'd definitely do us over two legs in Europe.

Valverde is one of the most overrated players in the world. No quality on the ball

Beat Barcelona. But no way could we beat this average Madrid team? Interesting.
Either individual results matter or not, make up your mind.

Surely you thought the same about Barcelona when we drew them in the EL? Madrid have been crap today.

They don’t. That was exactly my point. When I say this average madrid team, I mean over the season. Not just today

Don’t think you’re quite grasping any of what I’ve said tbh. Like zero grasp.

Marco has to be the greatest supersub since Ole

Hope we keep him

Champions League Madrid >>>>>> La Liga Madrid
Champions League Madrid have only been marginally better than 11th place in the PL tonight with 11 men. Like I get it they’re a good team, but they’re a much worse team than they were last year, which was a worse team than the year before.

Madrid put 4 goals past Barcelona a few days ago
Ok that’s not how football works, but even if it was we didn’t ‘dick’ Barca, did we? We’ve also played Chelsea and didn’t ‘dick’ them. We’ve dicked very few teams in recent years, we def won’t be starting with Madrid and Chelsea.

Game over for Chelsea.

edit: To paraphrase Mary from SheDevilsUnited, Fofana's legs were wider than a pornstar in a fecking mass orgy.

Lampard is clueless but we knew that.

We sign someone absolutely rapid in Mudryk and he struggles against low blocks but made for teams with a high line and he’s left on the bench. Plus Mudryk has actually played against Madrid and had success.

In order to shore up the midfield, Chelsea bring on ex-Swansea City loanee Conor Gallagher against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Imagine being a Chelsea fan right now. The results are one thing, but quite soon they will not have scored a goal in four matches straight. That's six plus hours of football without scoring.
