it’s also largely ignored what an incredible roster of attacking talent they’ve accumulated. Simeone is definitely doing a great job but there’s far more occasion for them to be unleashed than they are.
It means salary after social security/retirement taxes but before income tax, it's the way it works in France.
PiqueWho's been Barca raiding you for? Mark Hughes?
That's what Gross salaries after "Social charges" are called in France. In the UK the "Social Security rate" is around 12-14 %, your employer pays this before hading out your gross salary."net salary before tax", thought this kind of thing only existed for players of Monaco
It happens sometimes if you're going to reply to two messages and feck up which bit you delete.
No way that number is correct.
Dude, what is your point with VVD. He's fit enough to play the vast majority of games for Liverpool and his NT. Hummels missed two games for Dortmund and had to pass on every single international invite. His knee problems are a constant topic, he's probably only playing with painkillers. And the whole issue is that it's not just one players, who is having issues. So trying to turn this into a VVD vs Hummels fitness debate is even more asinine. Hummels isn't even the biggest issue for Rose, because he's still performing on a relatively good level.
You mention tactical cohesion, but not getting a good pre-season with your team and not being able to form a cohesive first XI, because you're constantly missing players is quite obviously a direct obstacle for that. Not to mention that Klopp himself once nosedived all the way down to the bottom fo the table, when faced with a tournament hangover and injuries after the 2014 WC.
That doesn't buy Rose a complete pass, but it illustrates that part of the problem goes beyond tactics.
Putting all that aside, given I was raging looking at that tepid performance after being doubtful of Rose for a while now, why do you think he's persistenting with this diamond formation? Do you see any value in it?
From what I remember, he would play 4-3-3 at Gladbach and keep width in his side. That's what's making me more surprised at this.
Neither would I say that a diamond formation is somehow just bad by default, nor is Rose stubbornly playing it.
Exhibit A:
According to who? That's what french sources that actually follow PSG daily for decades report. Why would your sources be more accurate? Do you need me to remind you what absurd numbers english papers invent each time a player leaves PL? Check what was reported for Ramsey at Juventus, it was ridiculous, maybe triple what he actually earns.
Ah right, thanks for the insight! Apologies @Oly FrancisThat's what Gross salaries after "Social charges" are called in France. In the UK the "Social Security rate" is around 12-14 %, your employer pays this before hading out your gross salary.
In France the "Social Security rate" is around 35 % and clubs have to pay these charges. So Herrera cost rougly 145K/ week. 110 of them is the "gross", and he then pays the income tax from that 110k.
It's a very narrow 4-3-3 then that doesn't use the advantages of being able to play wingers to stretch the defense, while having 3 men in midfield, and give passing options to the full backs and also assist in defending the opposition full back. That was one area Dortmund were to easily being pulled apart for me.
I honestly have always hated the diamond formation because it congests the center so much that you can't control that midfield from there.
Why haven't Real Madrid or Barcelona raided Liverpool for Salah in all these years like they always seemed to do to us?
Ugh I miss him, I wish he would grow his hair out again. I really liked it when he had his man bun.
About the only player we have moved on in last few years I wish we had kept.
I’m quite comfortable believing Ramsey is on €500k and Herrera is on €300k.
Ah right, thanks for the insight! Apologies @Oly Francis
Are you saying that Herrera gets paid 110k a week and then pays income tax? If so, that's utter tripe. That's what Gross salaries after "Social charges" are called in France. In the UK the "Social Security rate" is around 12-14 %, your employer pays this before hading out your gross salary.

Same.About the only player we have moved on in last few years I wish we had kept.
Not a stat man, but Berghuis had a pass accuracy of 100% in the first half with 26/26 and created 4 chances. That's mental for a 10.

Liverpool have the toughest group and are qualifying at a canter.
We on the other hand are shitting ourselves over Atalanta. FML
Mate, that’s good coaching. The first two goals against Watford they won the 1st and 2nd ball and were a pas away from being in on goal. Why does every second ball drop to a Liverpool player? It doesn't matter what direction the ball goes, it will always land perfectly for them.
God I hate them so much.
I despise them as much as anyone on here. They were incredibly lucky tonight as well.but tell me a team that you are confident will beat them over 2 legs with no away goals.. worrying.Jesus, have some self respect.
Poetic.Liverpool have the toughest group and are qualifying at a canter.

Good for you if you're confortable believing nonsense. Ramsey earns €225k according to the most generous sources.
Former winners in group but let's be honest it's not that strong of a group for Liverpool.Liverpool have the toughest group and are qualifying at a canter.

I'm a giant Berghuis fan and still am even if he broke my heart by going to Ajax. Can hardly blame him either, he just fits there. The way you keep going on about him one could think he's playing for Feyenoord.
Imagine that Athletico Madrid team with an attacking manager. They could be thumping teams for fun. Unfortunately, they are being orchestrated by an Argentinian Mourinho.
Jota was a lucky boy today. In the league that wouldn't been deemed as clear and obvious error, and the decision would have stayed.
