Champions League | Matchday 6

Bayern are good at creating play, but when an opponent tries to press them they just demolish them. Crazy team.

The result is 2, maybe even 3 goals too high.
Salzburg was very good and we where very cynical in the last 15 minutes.
It was a very "premier league like" game, very fast faced, always going up and down.

Crap. Liverpool looking good. A PL+UCL double would be the end. Bayern remains our last hope.

Real Madrid vs Inter Milan
You can lose against Real Madrid but Conte deserves huge criticism if they are failing to reach the knock-out rounds for a second season in a row.

Donetsk vs Mönchengladbach
That was fecking impressive Mönchengladbach :)

Porto vs Marseille
12 defeats in a row in the Champions League is a really shocking record for a decent club

Atalanta vs Liverpool
Hopefully Atalanta will find soon answers for their problems :nervous:

Very happy with the game.
The future in the Champions increasingly secure and being able to score the third when the match was very complicate, and with assistance from Vini and a great goal from Rodrygo, who really needed it.
Valverde is a great player, irreplaceable right now.
I think maybe it's time to run and grab Zidane's train again

Salzburg have to feel hard done by. Really good performance.
The three subs changed us. Coman had one of his horrendously wasteful games and Tolisso couldn't really impose himself. Pavard was also a non factor all game. Sarr, Sané and Martinez changed that.

Still, Salzburg looked really good until they ran out of gas. Fun match all the way through.

This Inter Real Shaktar Gladbach group is possibly the lousiest group in the history of CL...

Marseille isn't a decent club, they're in the CL only because the Ligue 1 was stopped and the rankings were frozen. They were never gonna be in the CL if the season ended on 38 games. Having said that, they're fecking pathetic

Agreed. Salzburg really hurt us up until the 75th minute. Typically, I would have expected them to run out of steam a lot sooner, given the way they had to run to keep their game up. This result is too high and the game should act as a warning to Flick, Europe is catching up to our tricks now... Need to be better in defense. There were some sloppy plays that didn't get punished due to sheer luck and Neuer's reactions. And Salzburg is a genuinely good team, I'm impressed.

And Salzburg is a genuinely good team, I'm impressed.

Since Rapid Wien is my favorite austrian club and my 2nd favorite after Bayern overall, I detest Salzburg with a passion, but I gotta admit: Their recruiting is spectacularly good. It has been for years (Mané, Haaland), but now they got a team that, while very inexperienced, has the quality to pose a threat to any team they play. I imagine that a bunch of their players that took the field yesterday will generate individual transfer sums north of 70 million in the next few years. Not for Salzburg, probably, but for the team that bought them from Salzburg in the first place.

Actually enjoy the madness

Why lousiest group? On paper it reads like a group of death with 4 teams that can definitely punish you instantly if you give them too much space. Obviously 2 big names in there as well. It's a very competitive group.

Why lousiest group?
Have you seen any of the games? :D

It's especially shambolic for Inter given that on balance of play they should be comfortable sitting in first with 7 points(at least). They're last with 2.

It has been entertaining though, definitely. Low quality(except for gladbach counters, those have been real quality, impressively so), but entertaining

Ffs was hoping United would win tonight. Now they have something to prove against us.

Notice how many subs there were and how little time was added? It's something we see time and time again. Football needs to move to stop the clock system ASAP.

United showing solidarity with madrid by losing badly to a bunch of cloggers while conceding inexcusable goals

So we want PSG to double RBL so a win in our next game basically takes us through?
