Champions League Knockouts (12 Aug - 23rd Aug)

Aouar has been impressive. His performance so far almost makes up for the ridiculous crowd noices, with imaginary city fans singing about KdB every 10 minutes.

Cannot get enough of this gif! Priceless!
Especially that last TWWWWWWWICE to the sky!:lol:

What is Pep thinking with this idiotic 5-3-2. He's bottled every big knockout CL game since coming to City.

It's weird too because it took Chelsea pretty much no time at all after you got your sugar daddy to acclimatise to the CL.

City still look like they're new to all this
Chelsea though had European pedigree, won CWC and reached the CL quarter final in their first attempt before Arsenal did.

Heard a massive shout of “Regarde” Gave me a chance to employ my schoolboy French. Feel fifty shades of awesome...

Fernandinho elbows the guy then goes down clutching his face when replays show there was literally no contact to his face. I cannot stand him.

Lyon’s pressing the ball has been very good in midfield, Depay needs to press more though..

Pep has done no better at City than any other decent manager would with that kind of budget. Same goes for his spell at Bayern: no more than the sum of their parts. Ever since he left Barcelona, he has only done precisely as much as would be taken for granted with the vast fortunes he spends. Nothing more. Hasn't impressed one bit.

Its bizarre seeing City setup like this, they have the much better players, changing their system to counter Lyon's is not something you would expect from Pep..

From yesterday to today, you realize that even people on enthusiast forums can't really read a game. City on par with Bayern, my ass.

Pep has overthought this formation again in the CL. Just not enough creativity in there. Lyon looking dangerous on the break and dealing well with KDB Jesus and Sterling at the minute.
Mahrez should play I think. Might come on later.
