Champions League Knockouts (12 Aug - 23rd Aug)

Also Vidal must be one of the most unlikeable players in history. Comes out with some right shit before each big knockout CL game and gets embarrassed each time.

I kinda liked Semedo at RB, but jesus christ what a terrible performance. I think his brain just froze and he started panicking.

What a great nite for football, if you didn't enjoy that then give up watching the sport. Unless your on the receiving end of course

Too busy watching Toni Erdmann but I've just seen the final score. Ha,Barca bad or Bayern just amazing ?

I do think he's fortunate to have played for Juventus, Bayern and Barcelona. Good player, but not as good as he thinks he is, or as he is touted to be.

Barca was bad and Messi wasn't happening. Bayern played a solid game but had weaknesses in the back. This is all Barca giving up in the second half.

I’d 2-8 be a Barca fan right now

They are talking as if City are this all conquering force. They are arguably worse at the back than Barca.
If nothing else their decision making is better on the ball when playing it out from the back. Plus Ederson is so much better at passing it out than Ter Stegan.

What's the record for goals scored by a club in a CL season? I make Bayern currently on 39 with 1 less game than normal at this stage which is just ridiculous.

Barca are finished. They need a huge rebuild and have no money. Covid couldn't have come at a worse time for them.

And Messi is getting on too. Still incredible but maybe not quite as incredible anymore.

Bayern weren't even that good, still not confident if then beating City, if they pass Lyon. They were poor defensively and really need to change tactics for the semi final.

But holy hell they're good offensively.

Good luck man city.

To think potchettino pretty got the sack on the back of being thrashed by Bayern but doesnt look all too bad on him now with how bayern are destroying teams.

Yeah he’s been finished as a decent player for a good long while. He’s just fortunate Barca have developed a habit of signing players of his type over the last few years. Paulinho is another that springs to mind.

I’m no expert, but I’m not sure what Barca was planning on there. Regardless of the defense, the midfield was a shambles.

Poch 2018: I' d rather work in a farm, than go to Barcelona

Barcelona 2020: We have a nice farm here. One GOAT and lot of donkeys.

They had money, but they went on and spent +300m on Coutinho, Griezmann and Dembele to have them on bench or on loan and scoring against them too.

They're an absolute disaster of a club.

I'm 100% sure they'll stop being relevant for several years once Messi retires. He's the only reason they're even kind of relevant these days, and even this is fading.

What's the biggest Barca fan forum? I want to see a meltdown :D

I've been having a browse.

A lot of them seem to be harbouring under the delusion that getting spanked in a Champions League QF is rock bottom. They're in for a rude awakening.

Just enjoyed watching Muller's interview on BT Sport. Mad that he's the only attacker who played in both this game and the 7-1, he's leaving a hell of a legacy.
