Champions League GW2 - 3/10 and 4/10

When was the last time PSG looked like anything other than a collection of individuals who don’t know how to play together? The Cavani/Lavezzi/Pastore period?

take a good look at that back 4 including keeper that just held their own against Milan and PSG. Howe just confirming that some things trully are mostly on the manager.

we on the other hand keep waiting for that perfect defence for us to stop conceding goals. so if one from that perfect duo is missing and we have Varane & Lindelof on the pitch, or Lindelof & Martinez, we pretty much accept in advance we're conceding - and that's against the likes of Brighton and Palace.

it will never be perfect enough under certain managers.

Qatar already made PSG relevant. They were a nothing club before they got their hands on them. Only won the league twice before that.

Ffs a 'nothing club' because they werent many times league winners? :wenger:

Nothing clubs dont have players like Ronaldinho or Weah as former players. Sure they werent on the level they are now but hardly a 'nothing club'.

There is something between nothing and a massive club you know?

Brave pressing by Newcastle, why do we never do that? Makes yesterday look even worse.

What a joke.

Going from Neymar to Dembele as your number 10 is such a humongous downgrade.

Not bad, isn't he?
Annoyingly good signing. If Pellistri turns out to be half the player Alvarez is, I'll be jumping with joy.

Edit: To clarify, I'm not saying that they are similar kind of players, just that Pellistri was our cheap punt from South America.

Schar's always had that in him. Feels like he doesn't get talked about a lot but he's been an absolute class CB for a while.

Eyes couldn’t stop blinking for about 15 minutes after that goal…

They’ve obviously got a great team, but what sets us and them apart is the passion they have compared to us.

3-1 up, 90th minute and still pressing like that. Wow.

True. They have a lot of confidence and belief that for some reason we can't find. Credit to Howe he managed to really get the best out of this group.

Makes me laugh Mbappe wanted to be the main man. But look how he strolls around he's just not interested. Makes me angry when people say he's the best player in the world. Not even close.

Celtic thought they were 2-1 in front with a few minutes to go, chalked off via VAR and then end up losing 2-1 with the Lazio winner arriving the 6th minute of added time.

Anthony Taylor MOTM, made a crap Barça win.
Super undeserved but against this lackluster Barça we can win in Barcelona anyway, if of course we don't have all the bad luck and we actually get a referee on the whistle.

It's a Rashford inspired performance from him. He really can't be arsed at all.

Well done Toon .

Mbappe has seemed to try, but he’s had to drop a bit more and get involved in the buildup, because it simply hasn’t been happening. They miss Neymar but probably Verratti more, there’s just been no cohesive build up at all
