This is all true but I think you are underestimating just how difficult that is. It is probably the most difficult way of defending there is. Pep is one of the best managers ever and he still needed midfielders of the calibre of Busquets, Alonso and Xavi to hold off possession that effectively. Maybe Klopp is being too ambitious but the point remains it is more than just a trick.
