Champions League 21/1/25 + 22/1/25

In a world where basically nothing is factual and everything up to interpretation, offside is as factual as something can be.

Niche situations like interfering with play, blocking line of sight and so on aside

Why didn’t they show any replays for city’s potential offsides? Yet we seen psgs when that got checked

PSG are just the same side they always are. No matter who is in the team. Going out of the champions league at this stage is pathetic.

Dembele just scored though

feck sake I switched to the Bayern game after city scored the first and missed all the action

Personally, I'm glad offside is one of the very few absolutely binary decisions in football. You're offside or you aren't, something that is exceedingly easy to check

But even at that I find it nonsensical in certain situations.

For example, why should you be flagged for offside if you're closer to the goal line, out on the wing, than say 4 defenders who are infield and are closer to the goal than you are?
I'm not going to bother debating you with that attitude to be honest.

Don't give me that

You had ample opportunity to engage in good faith. You replied with a reductive one-liner accompanied by a smiley and then called me a rebel when I explained myself so that doesn't hold up at all.
