Hopefully the pace will quicken up a bit. Though i still havnt a fecking clue what I'm doing

woops...don't know that. Why is it Wednesday anyway? That's too late, it should kick off from Monday morning at the latest.

It takes a lot of research for the first pick (as you can really end up in dead alley if you aren't careful esp if you are one of the early picks) but it will pick up after the first pick as people won't really have much options to ponder upon (relatively of course).
Yeah, agreed with that. Perhaps there should be a designated neutral or someone like that as most of these doubts will involve unpicked players etc. Just don't want to create an awkward situation, that's all.

@Edgar Allan Pillow does the player need to have 15 apps for the first club(first pick)? Example, player X played for one club 4 times and then was sold to the second club which was his last club in his career, can i pick him or does the 15 game rule also apply for him?
Researching is impossible. Just endless possibilities.
First pick is free. No restrictions. But to make a 2nd pick link you can only use clubs where he played 15+ games/season.
Say,your first pick is Luis Ronaldo. He has played..
1993-94 Cruziero - 14 games
1994-95 PSV - 30 games
1996-97 Barcelona - 37 games
etc.
You cannot use Cruzeiro to link to next players. Only PSV/barca etc are eligible.

First pick has no restrictions, so no need to put a club link to that. It can be anyone.
@Edgar Allan Pillow can we start the deadline from Monday morning ? We've got all the managers, and as others have mentioned, not much researching is possible unless its really close to your turn (and too much research, when it is your turn without any deadline).

Wait... I think you mean something else here. There's no such thing as "Cruzeiro Ronaldo", just Ronaldo. If you pick A who played with Ronaldo at PSV (15 games each) and C who played with Ronaldo at Barca (15 games each), A and C still can't have played together anywhere. So the specific club used for the link is completely irrelevant.
Aye, I'm actually kicking myself that I tried to keep it going when in fact I had just had my plan shot to pieces. Would have started it a completely different way had I taken one hour to get over possibly not getting Giacinto. As it is, he will probably be the only one I get

I did read your post, my concern was when we first discussed this chain stuff there was a variant discussed of not playing together at the same club, rather than not playing together at all.

On the other hand, I've already done quite a bit of research, but this extra time should serve me well in getting more options and choices for each draft round. I'm hoping that I'm well set for when people start to destroy my teams.
Also, @Edgar Allan Pillow, could you confirm what the voting system will be for this draft? I feel that players will build teams differently depending on the voting system in place.

Re- the 15 games rule. Is that for a single season or cumulative?
Suppose you had Gaalinho who played 7 games in 2000 and 8 in 2001 could I link him with Phealinho?
Also if Gaalinho had played one game in the same season as Kiddinho (who is legit linked to Phealinho) would that be an invalid pick?

so much of me not doing chains before and going player by player.....just did 2 hours of creating chains for a player that will probably go in next three picks
