They were crystal clear. They make it very tricky to get the men I want given how the links shift, but it's all part of the challenge.

A good one by all means. If you are in a tight spot reinforcing that can be traced back to poor decisions during drafting. Fair enough.
 
Picking Hohberg was such a monumental cockup... he was the only other bridge between the 60s and 40s teams once I picked Abbadie and the only one connecting two specific players without breaking the rules, should have kept him as a wild card for reinforcement connections. As it is, I will lose him after this round :(

Classic Anto prioritising the storyline over the drafting strategy :annoyed: I'm in a right mess now to complete the side I wanted to begin with :mad:

1st reinforcement pick - Should have played with Player 10 but not with Player 9 (same 15 game/season applies here too)

That's fair enough. I know there was some confusion earlier but it's pretty straight forward and logical that you can carry it over, just like budgets in auction drafts. You take a risk not using it, but may get better value later.

Important question here @Edgar Allan Pillow: what is the stance on picking a player you already have to get him back in the chain? As per the example I gave earlier, Hohberg affords me a lot of options but I lose him after this round. Can I pick him again to recycle him up the picking order and keep him as a linkman for future reinforcements? (i.e. at the clearly damaging and high cost of losing a reinforcement in the process).

I don't think it's one in and one out? You don't discard a player to get a new one in.

No, you don't. It's something else I'm talking about.

The way this works you can now do a mini-chain starting at 8-12. First pick is B and second pick is C, C caan't have played with whoever kicked it off.

Now, for the next round, we lose 8 & 9. The next reinforcement can be done off 10-14.

My issue (and I can imagine plenty of other cases) is I lose Hohberg at 9th for the next round and he links me to many players. So the question is whether at a later stage (or even now) I can "pick Hohberg again" as a reinforcement so as to use his links.

Of course it means in that round I would only actually get one new player instead of two. It's all a bit bizarre I know, but I have three directions I could shoot in and that factor would weigh on my decision.

Ahh see your point, upto EAP but I think its fair. As you are losing a reinforcement to make a stronger link so balances out. Although based on my understanding of the rules, I dont think thats possible..
