I feel like there are new favorites. @Joga Bonito @MJJ @crappycraperson @diarm .. Love all of these teams.

Our team is ruined, lahm was the key to completing if after picking kahn.

Would have been the steal of the draft had you got to pick Lahm there as well! Wouldn't have been a fair draft with Kohler/Lahm/Sammer picked up that late. Players you'd think would have been attractive in quite a lot of chains and very early too, especially with the NT card laying around.

Yups, I looked into a path out of Juve which took me to Simonsen and Problem was I ended up with three forwards before even getting to Simonsen and wanted another that 2nd leads to.

Tbf, he did leave you two-thirds of the holy trinity behind and now with the likes of Vogts, Simonsen and Law you have my favourite team in the draft. If you pick that CM/AM next. My gawd

I can't fault him for that. I'm liking the look of this team now, although that's hugely down to @Gio steering it out of a complete dead end with that brilliant Zoff pick.

I think people were too harsh on him. He took those tags/alerts the wrong way though and already had a mini-meltdown last draft after losing.

I think its only a temporary ban which is fair enough really. He came across as an utter arsehole imo though, after seeming like a good poster for most of the Premier League draft. The tantrum after losing a close game against Cutch, the way he dropped out of this one without even a hint of an apology, and the crying about a few fecking notifications last night. Let him feck off somewhere else as far as I'm concerned.

In continuation with our captain-picking spree theme, the French captain decides to join forces with the Botafogo capt N.Santos, 1962 WC winning capt M.Ramos, 1970 WC winning greatest national side ever capt C.Alberto and greatest Brazilian club side ever capt Zito, to form a formidable spine.

Arguably the greatest French defender after a certain Larry white, Marius Tresor was a proverbial rock at the back for the French national side and Bordeaux in the late 70s and early 80s. He was the French Footballer of the Year in 1972 frequently featured in the balon d'Or lists during this period (18th - 1972; 18th - 1977; 19th - 1978; 20th -1979; 15th - 1982) which was remarkable for a centre-back. One only has to look at his fellow defensive peers featuring on these lists during this era (Vogts, Dutch FB, Breitner, Scirea) and the scarcity of defensive players featuring in these lists, to get an insight into Tresor's undeniable quality.

Not only was he a fine reader of the game and as solid as they come, he was a fine ball player and immense athletically. Not many strikers could get the better of this beast who was as complete as they come defensively.

You've no idea how much I love you and Annah right now. Ever since turn 5 I knew you had two branches out of Jairzinho and this was the one I hoped you would go for.

Have to say, I had warmed to the idea of you snatching my last boys from under my nose. It would have been a good home for them.

He was in my original plan B: Facchetti-Ugly defensive RB-Sivori-Altafini-Rivera/PaoloSr.-Schnellinger-Zoff and into the 80s. Scirea probably wouldn't have been around though, but I liked the look of that catenaccio defence.

Happy I was blocked from going down that road now by you and @Skizzo, I would have probably got bored very quickly once Rivera and Scirea got picked.

Yups, I helped out Joga earlier when he was working out whether he had played with Didí so I looked into him in a bit of detail and was stunned nobody went in that direction at all. There's entire connecting branches in this draft which remain largely unexplored, which is bizarre (Pat getting nicely into one at the right time though, he is heading straight for the one I referred too earlier as a reinforcement jackpot of sorts, and the one before him ain't too shabby either).

Nope unfortunately not. We did find a great link to a Brazilian who came top 3 in the WC Golden Ball and died early in a car crash

There's entire connecting branches in this draft which remain largely unexplored, which is bizarre (Pat getting nicely into one at the right time though, he is heading straight for the one I referred too earlier as a reinforcement jackpot of sorts, and the one before him ain't too shabby either).

Not sure which one you mean, we did find some backup routes in case he was taken but I don't remember whether it was through a goalkeeper in any of them.
