Celebrity Allegations, #MeToo etc

Could have gone in the Epstein thread, too, what with the similar MO. Nasty.

Watched a Netflix documentary about this place a while back and... Yeah not surprising.

White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie is the name. Part of it is dedicated to the weird stuff around the suggestive photos they took of models and such.

Gregg Wallace is to step away from presenting MasterChef while allegations of historical misconduct are investigated, the show's production company has said.

It comes after BBC News sent a letter to Wallace’s representatives on Tuesday setting out allegations of inappropriate sexual comments by 13 people who worked with him across a range of shows over a 17-year period.

Broadcaster Kirsty Wark, who was a Celebrity MasterChef contestant in 2011, said he told "sexualised" jokes during filming.

Wallace's lawyers say it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature. Masterchef's production company Banijay UK has launched an investigation and said Wallace is co-operating.

Greg(g) Walllace is a complete and utter bellend, but I'm not sure how on board I am with cancelling people for historical allegations of telling dirty jokes.
Yeah I’m not sure how comfortable I am with it. Because he’s essentially now lumped in with people who have done actual noncing in effect.

Wallace made unwanted advances on a female friend of mine while he was still married. He's a creep for sure.

How is this canceling? He was a creep and lost his job, happens every day.

Other allegations we’ve heard include Wallace talking openly about his sex life, taking his top off in front of a female worker saying he wanted to "give her a fashion show", and telling a junior female colleague he wasn't wearing any boxer shorts under his jeans.

BBC News has also heard from a former MasterChef worker who says he showed her topless pictures of himself and asked for massages, and a former worker on Gregg Wallace's Big Weekends, who says he was fascinated by the fact she dated women and asked for the logistics of how it worked.

Try doing those in the workplace and see how far it takes you.

Trouble is, from my experience having been in work for the last quarter of a century and more, there are loads of people in all types of jobs that act like that to this day, and as they aren't in the public eye they'll continue to get away with it for years to come.

My female friends will attest to the fact there are HR departments and managers defending them with inane comments like, "Well that's just how Gregg is, isn't it" and 'He's like that with everyone, don't worry about it".

Wasn’t he a fan of sex dungeons and all that malarkey?
Seem to remember reading that somewhere.
I walked past him once at Piccadilly tube station and he is very short. Not that this has anything to do with it, but based on what you see on the telly the stories are believable, just has that vibe.

The thing is it’s not as if he tried to hide it - he’d say this sort of stuff, on camera, to the contestants…

I always thought it would be the buttery biscuit base that would get him.

I remember being surprised years ago when I found out that he isn’t even a chef. He’s just…some guy, who they got to be on masterchef and judge chefs.

The question now is will he end up on GB news as the Chief Food Reporter. And will he start to showcase other unsavoury sides to his personality now that he's been outed as a sex pest. Watch this space.

Probably shoving marrows up his arse. Am I rite @rimaldo
not sure what he gets up to these days. he stopped paying his membership fees a while ago and wasn’t allowed in the clubhouse. i remember we caught huw edwards trying to sneak him in a couple of years ago. so he was dealt with.
