Probably going a bit under the radar in terms of effort, but the way he sorta just walks/jobs around the pitch is mental.

Completely checked out.

Either can't run or won't. Neither of which are helpful to us.

Dreadful at everything he used to be the best at. Need to get rid of him ASAP

Don't think he'd start for any other team in the league. His stats before we signed him in LA Liga showed he was on a major decline. Hopefully get 20 million off a Saudi team for him. Just needs to be moved on. But why would he when his contract is up in the summer of 2026 and the money he's on.

Rasmus is getting his fee thrown back in his face after every abject performance where he at least puts in full effort and passion and plays most games. Casemiro cost as much and is on 3 times the wage and he's trotted out as a poor sub every so often and given an almost free pass by many on here. It's signings like Casemiro in general that have this club in such financial trouble. If Rasmus doesn't kick on which it's looking like he won't to be fair we will still probably get 20/30 million for him eventually, more if he explodes on loan somewhere like Antony

He's already stated he's going to see out his contract with us. The best we can hope for is him accepting a free transfer this Summer. A Saudi club will likely match or better his wages with us. Don't think Saudi are stupid enough to pay us a transfer fee & give him massive wages when he only has 1 year left on his contract here.

Mad thing is, he walks around like a zombie, but his passing and ability to spot a runner is better than most of our players. Its pretty sad.

He's just lost his legs unfortunately for us, was really a monster in his prime.

We have a thing for signing pensioners on their last legs as professional athletes. Mercenary United FC would be a good name change but I blame all this on the previous heirachy with Ed Woodward and his gang of goons.

Might be a better player to start in the European games where hopefully the pace of the game is slower. As others have said he does at least make some chances for the forwards with the passes over the top to chase. It's not pretty but it is something.

I always think of the Glazers' success doing this in the NFL with Tom Brady and wonder if they basically just tried to push our management to foolishly adopt the same philosophy, or if our back-office team prompted this strategy independent of the Glazers' input.

Sounds plausible given the gross mismanagement of this club since they took over.

He’s not even been a bad signing we just overpaid as per usual. The way we are using him now is perfect.

Real Sociedad 1:1 Man Utd New
I thought he did well. The pace of the game obviously suited him a lot more and he was able to play those passes over the top and get tackles in. Could start him with Ugarte next week and push Bruno forward to the 10 role.

Came here to say the same thing. He did alright today but Real Sociedad didn't do much and Kubo was never close to Casemiro which certainly helped.

Played an orthodox midfield two with Bruno and both played a pretty contained, mature and hard working game I thought. Low standards and all but all things considered, it's a step in the right direction but the opposition and pace of the game suited us.

He frustrates me quite a lot as he loses the ball to often with his first time passes. Sometimes it pays off but for a team wanting to keep possession he isn’t a good fit

Think if we're going to have any sort of success in this competition we need to rest him in the league and get players around him so he is expected to chase balls down etc..

His range of passing is miles better than any other player in our side other Bruno. I think we need him in personally.

He can be a bit loose with it but we definitely have missed him in our attacking play. As you say he is the only one besides Bruno who can spot an attacking run and attempt to pass the ball. Ugarte, mainoo etc are too safe with it.

He's also a goal threat as well, he didn't get many chances tonight but he has a fantastic shot and he's a threat in the air.

Been saying it all season, his experience and ability needed to be built around, I felt Ruud was the only one who got on to this and played him with Mainoo and Ugarte.

He's got no future beyond this season but it's been criminal to leave a player of his ability out of the side without trying to accommodate him.

Good performance. Hopefully he'll be rested vs Arsenal and then be able of another solid performance in return leg. Europa League is one of rare competitions he never won so perhaps that can motivate him to perform well there.

Solid! He gets a lot of criticism because of his age but I rate him more than most. Definitely not the reason we are where we are.
