Watching him makes me understand why Real Madrid can win 3 CL’s in a row.

Mood. My fave gif right now.

Gotta love how he has pretty much won everything at club level and he still celebrates like he just won the World Cup final

We need more players with the desire like him.

Why on earth did Madrid let this man go? Not complaining whatsoever but he's just so good it's unreal.

Very reassuring player to have such a good player patrolling the middle of the pitch, it’s been a while. World class.
It’s not just patrol duty, now that he’s up to speed you can see how crisp his passing is, receiving the ball on the turn and just lay it forward with the right weight and accuracy with minimal fuss.

The sort of thing we used to take for granted under Fergie, but have become all too rare in recent years.

Calm and collected on the pitch but disrupts and counterattacks beautifully. I admire his grit resolve and never-say-die and determination to win more than anything else. That why you pay for proven winners. They never settle for mediocrity……

Yep, he’ll be a transformative player for us this season. Great signing.

The raw unadulterated passion and warrior spirit from him is irresistible :drool:

Won everything in the club game but you can still see how much it means to him, he's not here simply to cash in cheques. He's here to try to bring us back where we belong and I feel he'll play a very big role in that.

An underrated aspect of his game is the way he shapes his body when defending. He’s great at blocking a passing lane whilst simultaneously closing down the on-ball player and then finally dispossessing them. So many players in the squad receive the ball with terrible body positions, but it’s starting to improve.

Can't say I've rooted for many players over the last couple of years. To be frank, most just seemed quite unlikable in our team.

Such a great player, with such great attitude. Also didn't expect his attacking to be this good. Could easily have had 5 goals so far and great distribution. Looks to have lost a bit of weight/fitter than when he joined?

Crazy to think a couple of weeks ago people where complaining about how he wasn't a Ten Hag signing. Shows good on both sides that they're able to get the best our of him in this side regardless.

Keep it up!

Genuinely feeling like a clown that those few games at the start worried me. An absolute monster of a player. Machine and my new favorite player along with Martinez.

I’ve already gone into it but sure.

He’s lightweight. Can’t keep the ball under pressure.
He’s in his 30s and isn’t someone who’s relied on his on the ball attributes.
Big wages for someone which will keep him here too long.

We need strong players on the ball. Players who will be the foundation of a long and, hopefully, successful team. Players who don’t continue to ruin our wage structure.

I’m not trolling.

I don’t like this signing.

This post is gradually becoming an instant classic…

I think the poor lad has gotten enough abuse already

Anyway I'm pretty happy to be vindicated on this transfer alongside the pro cas camp.

And to think some prefer antoine fecking rabiot to this gem of a player :nono:

I don’t feel sorry for any posters trying to ruin our players without giving them the chance!

I think I’m relatively younger than most caf posters, but from I remember growing up, fans tended to be much more patient back in the day. Writing someone with Casemiro’s resume off on the back of a couple of games is insane. Is this because United has been poor for so long - both with transfers and sporting wise?

Still think it’s wild it took the club this many years to address that gaping DM hole we’ve had for years - Not to dunk on Mctominay because it’s not necessarily his fault, but we’ve needed an upgrade on him for eons and it’s not something that required X-ray vision to see. Personally, I think the club should already start scouting the most promising 17-18-19 year olds in that position and look to bring them in within the next three windows

The double benefit to this transfer is that we didn't get to De Jong, who is nowhere near as good defensively.

Told my wife I love him more than her last night which she found amusing. I wasn't joking.

Its easy to be magnanimous when you're winning.

If he keeps this form and doesn't even get better I think he'll still make it into plus team of the season come end of it, he's so good.

He is here only for the money. We need to look forward and search for another dmc for next season. Old and overpayed. Not ETH's signing.
Did i forgot something?

I think Real Madrid just respected his wishes to leave, Casemiro has been a great servant and a model pro for them in an era filled with success, he is considered a club legend there and United offered 70m, plus they brought in a great young DM in Tchouameni.

Yeah. I honestly don’t know what possesses someone to post such uninformed drivel.
There's a number of people on the forum that try and make out like they have some sort of higher power level football knowledge, and go in hard on hot takes to try and assert this. It's so utterly stupid, especially for our own players.

I still can’t quite believe that he plays for us. We have had a few Madrid dross but this is a player who is absolute top class and genuinely loves playing here instead of a paycheck

Varane and now Casemiro, let’s get Valverde from them next season!

His blooming over the last few games provides an interesting counterpoint to Ronnie's descent into farce, particularly with their history as teammates at the pinnacle of the club game. I fecking love him and in this heightened state of affection post yesterday, he's like the embodiment of everything we haven't been in the last decade or so, classy, poised, calm, humble and as good as anything City or Liverpool have got. God bless him. God bless us all.

Can't you guys leave @Yagami alone? We all had questionable takes on players or managers.

Its easy to be magnanimous when you're winning.

It's also easy to seem patient when you don't have the tools to expose your impatience. People were as foolish in the past as they are today.

Have to say, Ten Hag deserves such huge credit for how he’s handled him too. Would have been tempting to just fire him in the starting 11. He’s just come from Madrid where he was a key figure in a CL win.

But he saw, even the best players might take some time to adjust to a new league and he gave him that time and we are watching him flourish now.

The passion that he and the new South American players have shown has been a huge lift for this team's fight. I absolutely am here for it!

I was not worried tbh. He is a competitive beast that Will always fight back even if things are not going well

His start worried me also, he looked way off. Then again Thiago showed you can need almost an entire season to settle in and Case only needed a few matches.

It's extremely easy now to see why Real Madrid have been so dominant for some years when a monster like Casemiro has been seen as the least celebrated of the magical trio with Kroos and Modric. He has been sensational lately.

It's interesting how the media didn't think that it was disrespectful to bench such an heralded player who is in his prime. Unless I'm mistaken people were largely supportive and some even suggested that he may not be ETH cup of tea.

PS: I'm definitely shit stirring.
