Carrington Update

Dalot enjoying his apple

This alone needs to be made in to a meme or at the very least a celebration for next season.

Pictures are fine and purely for the sake of it although it does look a bit airport lounge like but that will make no difference as long as the player facilites are sorted out.

50 million on a "revamp" is an eye watering amount-not a United related comment more a comment on how mental projects like this cost.

This doesnt count towards FFP/PSR either does it as it counts as infrastructure?

The players will love those IKEA meatballs they’ll put in there. Although I’m partial to the hot dogs.

50 million does sound absolutely mad purely based from those concept pics.

some of the players aren’t going to like the constant smell of fermented fish, or having to put together their furniture each day before sitting on it.
They'll have unlimited snus to take the edge of things

Can't pretend to care too much about this as I'll probably never be there, I might, but probably not. Glad it's happening though, clearly long long overdue.

With any luck, giving the players facilities that are conducive to the betterment of their wellbeing and making them feel they are part of a class outfit will transfer into their performances.

Good to see.

Anyone think this is the ‘cheap option’ when comparing to peers? Leicester spent over £100m in a new training facility and City spent £200m in 2014.

ITs not new, its a refurb, which reduces the cost as we wont require any substructure works.

Even if it did, it's a capital project with a long useful life, so the 50m would be depreciated over the life of the asset, and the actual expense hitting our books each year for depreciation would be very small as a result.

I'd be more concerned about the cash flow impact, although I'm sure the INEOS people will have that figured out as well.

I recently dealt with the payments for my companies office refurb (two floors) and even that cost 2.2m. I can see how the costs would balloon given the size, kitchen/gym equipment, etc...

Well, la-di-fecking-da... What have we got here? A bunch of interior designers?

The amount of Ronaldo-stans commenting on the club's official tweet about this news is nauseating.
