Gaming Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Christ, it checkpointed me at a terrible time just then, was quite far through a mission I think, and I planted some mine or something and it saved. Cue masses of people busting in on me. Took me a few goes and sheer luck to get through it but I managed somehow.

Now stuck a bit later in the level cos of those heavily armoured dickheads. Absolute terrible way to make the game harder / longer. Just make bullet sponges.

Going for trophies doesn't seem too tricky I'll Plat this I think.

Loving it so far.

Just had a couple quick games there. Multiplayer is feeling much much better than the beta. Feels good!

UI still very bad.

Had a couple of hours on MP before work today. I like it. Seems to play really well and although I can't put my finger on it how, I love what they've done with the movement, feels just right to me. The maps I've played so far are great, I especially like the mexican border / toll bridge level with all. Simple and cool.

I like it. It’s much less clunky than the beta.

Sprint to fire could do with a slight buff I think, especially when sliding. It’s really annoying sliding out the way of someone then immediately seeing another fella ready to blast your face in and not being able to shoot at them for a split second.

Was modern warfare II not out about 10 years ago? Why are they regurgitating names?

Is it just me or was the graphics in MW 2019 better than MWII? I feel like the parts of weapons that are metal looks absolutely rubbish compared to 2019. Even the nerds I've seen run around with gold and plat camos looks off. I don't know, just feel like 2019 looked better. This is slightly more cartoon ish, like Black Ops style.

I agree it's a touch more Black Ops style, but thankfully not too much. The graphics are pretty damn good for the most part.

Campaign graphics are feckin great. Haven't paid too much attention to the MP graphics, all about performance in that.

The game I feel is really good so far but it has reminded me how much I hate regular cod multiplayer. Just too much random carnage for me. Switched to Ground War though while I do some levelling up and am enjoying that much more. I don’t know if it’s a new game mode to cod but it’s been done really well. Still it’s all good practice for when warzone comes out

I get obliterated in death match, but done well in other modes so far, even done well in the one where it's every man for themselves

Anyone want to try explaining the weapon upgrades and shit to me?

Do I use the m4 and that unlocks upgrades for any other gun but the m4?

Thought I’d get this considering the last COD I owned was the original Modern Warfare. Doesn’t seem much different in terms of core gameplay but enjoying the story mode so far. Graphics are pretty good.

Yeah it's a good campaign, graphics are excellent.

I tried a few of the other CODs, but the other MW2 was my last proper one I think, or black ops.

Those futuristic ones they done were proper bollocks.

I’d not noticed that till you mentioned it. I’m not a slider but now I’m noticing how many sliders I’m shooting in the face

Seems like it would be a lot of fun if I wasn't monumentally shit at it.

I feel like the guns all fit different styles quite well this year. Shot guns, SMGs, Marksman rifles all really usable instead of having to stick to ARs. Only issue I've got so far is the marksman rifles are too strong. The spr can basically be used as a shotgun and sniper at the same time.

Was absolutely flying around the map with the mp7 last night. And it’s a beast.

The TAQ felt much better than the m4 to me. Can make a nice fast build but it’s still powerful.

Must...resist...the...temptation.

I haven't bought a COD since Modern Warfare (2019). I normally play multiplayer obsessively for the first 2-3 weeks and then get bored and hardly play it again, so it's hard to justify paying £60 for this.

I'll more than likely try Warzone 2 when that releases though.

I was the same and I'm thoroughly enjoying this installment, also any progress levelling up guns carries through to warzone so its probably worth it for that alone.

Finished the story. Enjoyed it though I thought the
Graves fight was a bit rubbish. Him being in a tank felt weird. Was like a shit MGS boss or something.

This is the 1st CoD game that I actually buy and play multiplayer on. Finished downloading last night, got 2 games in before having to go to bed
Can see myself getting addicted to multiplayer

Really enjoying this. I like the weapon progression in that it encourages you to use weapons you'd normally not consider.

Seems like the AK tree is pretty powerful

Is the multiplayer worth it for folk who haven't played CoD in years? I loved the original MW2 and even WoW but gave up on the multiplayer around about the time Advanced Warfare came along. Even MW3 was a bit shit for me.

I hadn't played in years either but enjoying it at the moment. Probably hate it in a month when all the little shits are pros at it and I'm getting annihilated again

Might give it a pop. The campaign looks okay so I was thinking of getting it, but it would be Christmas and like you say all the kids who play until 4am every day will just smash me from the get go.

Good to give them a fighting chance before I go SAS on them.

The SBMM is quite strong so all games feel quite balanced, only had a couple where I destroyed a team or got destroyed

The 74u is fantastic. Managed 54-28 with it on hardpoint with no attachments. My highest kill count yet.

This is the 1st CoD multiplayer I ever buy and play, and yes I've gotten some good hours of fun on it with mates so far 2 days in.

Trying out the multiplayer for the first time. No idea what any of the modes are. Did ground war? Started off decent but then wherever I choose to spawn I’m just appearing in front of the enemy and dying before I can even get my bearings. Weird and annoying tbh. Will see if it’s just me being shit but I watched on someone’s killcam as I just spawned right in front of a guy facing away from him.

Give overwatch 2 a chance (PC preferably). Not as good as the original but i play it because I hate dying every 10 seconds.
